I don't think anybody is mad. Disturbed would be a more fitting description.
I take it none of you ever had a history class that talked about the tradition of Chinese Foot-Binding.
Small feet were considered attractive, people over there apparently never took off their shoes so they thought it would be cool to permanently disfigure their daughters from birth.
Mostly fizzled out in the last century or so but you still see it sometimes.
