It's not exactly how they kill somebody, it's that they lure the victim to an secluded place away from, you know, people, and just kill them quickly and cleanly. Children are great targets for this, that's why you hear more about kids being kidnapped than 70-year-old guys.

1.) When you inject somebody with something, you're trying to get it into their blood flow. A gas doesn't mix into somebody's blood flow very well.

2.) Why inject it? Just choke them with it.

3.) You have to clean up a dead body, no matter what. Dead bodies start getting really nasty if you just leave them there, that's why we bury or incinerate them.
