Another Smite "lore authenticity" thing that some people didn't like was that Poseidon summons the Kraken for his ultimate. What people made a fuss about was that the Kraken wasn't a Greek monster and only became popular as one because of Clash of the Titans.
Poseidon even shouts, "Release the Kraken!", whenever he uses it even though he never actually said it in the movie. (It was Zeus.) :v:
