To all you others who complain about the "Pluto is not a planet" thing...
Not being a Planet does not equal uninteresting rock.
Pluto is a Qupier belt object: We still don't know too much about the Quiper belt! It was just some exentric hypothesis until 1992. It's more than interesting!
Pluto is a TNO: Eris is bigger, but when they found Eris it was directly classified as a TNO. Pluto is even smaller. Why would Pluto classify as a planet when Eris didn't?
Simply put: Pluto was reclassified, big deal. The same happened to the entire milky way in 2005 when they found evidence that supported the theory that the milky way is a barred spiral galaxy. I had all my life heard that the milky way was a spiral galaxy like M31 (Andromeda), but when I heard about this, I just became happy for finding out something new about the universe. Same was in the case of Pluto (it took about five minutes until I got used to calling it a dwarf planet).
Pluto, the rest of the galaxy, and even the entire of the cosmos, is completely indifferent to what we classify things as.
Conservatism has no place in science.
