Kaspersky.

Not using any ATM. But this bloody laptop comes with both Norton and Titanium.
Also I use common sense and don't just download everything I see.
You know, you don't have to download anything to get a virus.
Even with adblockers and shit like that, they can still strike from anywhere, you be suspecting or not.
I had a friend who had ablockers, noscripts, and even Comodo on super high alert and he considered his system the most impenetrable thing on the face of the planet, but he was still struck by ransomware injected in a website he thought he could trust.
Avast will always be my favourite, as it is fucking amazing for free software. It cleaned up my old laptop which was full of (this is no exaggeration) well over 1300 viruses.
Norton
Don't even joke about this, my dad swears by Norton because "you pay for it, it must be better then the free stuff"
It only "works" because it blocks close to everything under the sun.
I just use MSE. While I'm sure it does some good it probably doesn't do much good. It's better than having pop-ups interupting games all of the time though.
Avast.
Oddly enough, I found a known virus and uploaded it to VirusTotal. Avast went "no problem, man. install." but the chinese antivirus (I believe Kingsoft, the makers of Kingsoft Writer, the MS Office clone, went "NO NO NO DO NOT INSTALL. THIS BAD."
it's wonderful.
I use Avast and Malwarebytes normally, but after a serious scare on my school laptop I also have Spybot Search & Destroy.
Protip: install several anti-viruses for extra security!
I install Avast as antivirus and adwcleaner against the adware in every pc.
adwcleaner in particular is the best thing ever. 'Help son my homepage is not google anymore!' 'open adwcleaner and click ok'
MSE.
Good detection rate, low false detection rate and a very small footprint.
In Windows 8(.1) It's build in as Windows Defender.
Avast is good for a one time scan if you think you have viruses and shit but I usually uninstall it after.
It also stops virused usb's that are trying to infect your pc.

How so? I've been using it for a really long time and it's not given me any trouble.
I've been using a combination of MSE and Spybot Search & Destroy for awhile and they seem to be a pretty effective duo.
AVG's been killing viruses perfectly for me since I installed it like 2 years ago. I also have Malwarebytes' AntiMalware.
MSE and malwarebytes
MSE came built-in with 8.1, and malwarebytes takes care of anything that MSE cant catch
AVG. love that antivirus. Kills everything that could harm my pc.

This is me too. Works perfectly, have never had any damage caused by a virus.
Although that's also because I'm not stupid when it comes to downloading stuff.
Paracetamol.
Is it worth buying malwarebytes premium since it has real time protection and stuff?
Ah and i use MSE and Malwarebytes, never had one virus :D
Am I the only one here who have a Norton that doesn't fucks up my computer?

I tried Norton for a week once, it eventually fingered one of it's own files as a virus, yup.
But anyway, i use avast for general protection and i run a malwarebytes scan once a month just to be safe.
