Is that a fan made ship? Because I can't find any official page about it.
If that ship landed in the ocean(and didn't rip itself to pieces) most of it would still be above the surface. Also, it would be larger than the entire island of Cyprus.
Is that a fan made ship? Because I can't find any official page about it.
it's 100% fanmade, and most likely a satire of enormous, completely impossible sci-fi ships in general
Charles Joseph Minard's famous graph showing the decreasing size of the Grande Armée as it marches to Moscow (brown line, from left to right) and back (black line, from right to left) with the size of the army equal to the width of the line. Sounds like something the soundtrack of Hotline would use.
- snip i fuked up sorry -
that's actually not a peters projection map
[editline]20th February 2015[/editline]
it's just an upside down regular mercator
[t]http://radiotvmelli.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/true_world_map_continents.jpg[/t]
the peters map is closer to the actual relative size of landmasses. compare greenland and africa on a mercator map and then do the same in google earth and you'll see why.

Now I'm absolutely itching for songs with muddy, awesome bass and a deep voiced singer. Besides (kind of) white stripes and (a lot less) Nine Inch Nails, where can I find stuff like this?
The name was big tip off.
It's actually called the Eclipse Class Star Destroyer, and its in some extended canon. It's totally nonsense though.

Maybe Marilyn Manson, too?

I dig that Benn Jordan (The Flashbulb), filmed most parts of the video himself. One of the few times I think that HDR actually looks good.
Does that video have a 60hz option? I can't seem to find it and it looks pretty awful at its normal framerate.

yes it's been posted before
I made one of these. It's a little smaller, so a little higher pitched, but damn it's cool. I can't use it very often without annoying the shit out of everyone though
War painting of Canadian artillery shelling enemy positions on Vimy Ridge. Though the Canadian assault was an astounding success, the overall allied operation in which the Canadians were a part of ultimately failed. Despite this, it was the first time that the Canadian Corps fought as a single unit with diverse divisions coming from all provinces of Canada. This is sometimes considered a watershed moment in Canadian history in where much of their men fought with extraordinary heroism during the assault.
The first shot made me think of Myst.
Was reading Lovecraft before bed yesterday, and woke up to this. Don't know if it's the book's influence or not, but everything was so blue, foggy at the ground and quiet, gave me a sense of mysterious. Especially those lonely lights on the hills.

Not as cool as some other photos here of course, but it was nice. Took with my soapbox and cropped.
