But here's the most important question. Would you still be able to stick them in strippers' G-strings?
I prefer my currency horizontal, tbh.
While it's prettier, it's not practical to have them horizontal. If you're counting a stack, you're going to look at a corner (which is perfectly where the number is on the bills in the picture) or look at the shorter sides. No one carries their money on the wide side while counting or giving them, at least no one I've ever seen.
We have about 200 years of being use to counting them despite being horizontal. It's not a pressing issue that means we have to completely overhaul the design.
I didn't think I would have to mention that I don't believe the US has to reprint all their money at this very moment because of this. I suppose I underestimated these bizarre assumptions that are often made here.

I mean, even though some bills might lie in the wrong direction or whatever, you still know its the same bill.

There is no bill in sweden that is a perfect square making it irrelevant if it is printed horizontally or vertically. You still count these and hand them over on the short side - as it is a rectangle. Same with folding. [t]http://fmimg.finmarket.ru/Banknotes/752/752_k_20_r.jpg[/t]

american bills seem like they were designed to say fuck you to blind people.
Oh hey, I posted these last time. I still have hi-res images of the individual notes if anyone's interested. The thing is that you keep them horizontally on your wallet but you present them to the cashier and the vending machine vertically. A hybrid compromise like this design would make it better for everyone. [editline]29th April 2015[/editline] The artist wanted them printed on thicker paper so that they would be like cards.
These are actually growing on me. Though I can't ever see the US changing the design that drastically.

[editline]30th April 2015[/editline] Also if its printed on thicker cards, wouldnt that be a little annoying to carry around in your pocket/wallet? It would bend like mad and unlike the thinner paper we have nowadays, wouldn't it be a lot harder to bend back into shape
I like our current bills, but those are really growing on me. The "This currency is upheld by the integrity of its people" text on top of pictures of things we've done, hits some patriotic cords I don't normally have :V
http://www.pixelthoughts.co/
I like this, very neat.
You know how you always find patterns or something that resembles animals on objects or in the sky? I found this on a old bench at my former workplace. It kinda looks like a face of a dragon or a dinosaur, with the features like eyes, cheekbones, nose and chin.
or the female reproductive system
http://www.pixelthoughts.co/
so uh i put school in there... "this thought does not matter..." even though I agree wholeheartedly about this advice here, is that uh, healthy?
http://www.pixelthoughts.co/
Then again, if you put "The meaningless of life" in there...
That's permanent? I thought they were rebuilding!
The are rebuilding it, it needs reinforcing.
That's permanent? I thought they were rebuilding!
They are. Just feels like I've passed it so many times all scaffolded up. I barely remember when it wasn't a big iconic eyesore. [editline]1st May 2015[/editline] Same goes for union station. Beautiful building, but it's been in restoration for months. I think they're finishing next month, though.
I actually really like scaffolding I think it reminds me of this old English town I used to visit a lot where there always seemed to be some sort of facade work going on
