the satire in V and to a certain extent in IV already fell flat most of the time due to it being harder to make fun of developing cultural trends, as opposed to established ones (say, from the 80s and 90s). i don't know how well they'd do with a gta in a future setting really

that sounds pretty great, actually. i want a GTA game with more escapism. the parodying of everything wrong with american culture hits waaaaay too close to home for me. it's funny, but if i think about it too much i realize it's not far from reality.
here's some pictures i took of some bionicle dudes i made during the hype for the bionicle reboot. most of them is the result of me messing with the camera settings and post-processing. sadly, the reboot is terrible and CCBS a shit. but in conjunction with original technic-bionicle parts, you can make some cool shit.
i made a small diorama in my back yard with some set pieces i welded together. i wanted to make some gritty pictures of some sort of po-matoran militia during sojourns into abandoned settlements. i started writing a short story about it, i should get back on that because i was liking how it was turning out.

have they ever made a game that wasn't filled with satire, though? even max payne had its fair share of satirical moments. i guess LA noire is their most serious one, but wasn't there something to do with most of the development being by another company?
don't get me wrong, i think they'd do an amazing job, i just don't think it's their (and especially the GTA series') style. but yeah, if they were to poke fun at something it'd be at sci fi tropes (or the lack of them- cue in lots of over-the-top ads for futuristic products that are basically just things we've always had. or better, mock "vintage" trends with ads for things like walkmen or vhs players for exorbitant prices),
