Polish propaganda drawn and hung in the streets in 1938. It translates as follows:
The great rise of the Polish nation
For the greatness and power of the Republic
15-year plan to develop Poland
In the years:
1939-1942 we will reach the highest perfection of the defense forces
1942-1945 we will develop the infrastracture on a large scale
1945-1948 we will elevate agriculture and education to the highest level
1948-1951 we will expand the cities and increase the development of the industry
1951-1954 we will equalize the economic state of the whole Poland
Regardless of this plan, in all of the aforementioned and other fields,
we will make great steps forward year by year,
because we want and we must surpass other nations and countries.
Just my opinion, but I think they should have started that perfection of the armed forces a teeny bit earlier..
I feel as though this image is kind of stupid. I agree with it's pro-immigration sentiments, but I think it's a dumb example.
While it's true that it's possible for us to settle virtually anywhere, it's not always about the case of "can we" but "should we". There's no reason to settle huge cities/colonies in the middle of the Australian outback because it's giant blazing desert.
It's also the case that most large metropolitan areas tend to be located near the coasts and compacted into dense supercities, eg Los Angeles, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, etc. Even a "densely populated" country like South Korea or Tokyo can accomodate for immigrants accordingly.
* whoops meant Japan, not tokyo

I'm guessing that's offset by the 'habitable area' there, which unfortunately isn't actually displayed on the map. And building cities in deserts isn't exactly uncommon or even that dangerous as long as you have access to water and air conditioning, which Australia is definitely rich enough to afford.
i forgot why i put a picture of a russian soldier being sodomized again
