How weird would it be to spend a portion of the war fighting with the soviets only having to live in the cold war afterward
Found this to be pretty relaxing.

Joseph Beyrle
A US Paratrooper in the 506th, who got dropped into france, blew some shit up, got captured, escaped from several POW camps, came across a Soviet tank brigade, and helped kick some German ass with them, before getting wounded, came across Mr Zhukov himself in the hospital, and was able to return home.

Trust me, you don't want to, your eyes will never look away.

A little bit of both I think :v:

Already posted that in the old thread though. Man I'm starting to run out of Cthulhu pics.

that last one is absolutely perfect
also doesn't need to be Cthulhu, some other Great Old One or indescribable horror will do just as fine
[editline]5th February 2015[/editline]
i actually want to see someone depict a Cthulhu the way we'd see it; a vaguely humanoid shape with something resembling arms, a head that's pretty much a mass of tentacles with a cluster of eyes above them, and warped wing-shaped things protruding from the back
because that's all our feeble mortal minds could grasp before going insane

I thought the old ones had no eyes whatsoever, because perceived the world a different way since they weren't of the same kind of matter as the current world they are in or whatever?
Or maybe that was the great race.
But the great race wasn't the alien ones, if I remember correctly, they were native to this world?
Man I remember so little of those stories.

I think it's safe to say that with the exception of Cthulhu, all the old ones' features are "unimaginable". Hence why everyone goes insane by just looking at them.

You're thinking of the Elder Things, which did have eyes as far as I can recall. The great race weren't native to Earth, but they did possess creatures on Earth to survive when Yith was dying.

Oh right, the Great Race doesn't count among the Old Ones, sorry.
The Great Race’s members were immense rugose cones ten feet high, and with head and other organs attached to foot-thick, distensible limbs spreading from the apexes. They spoke by the clicking or scraping of huge paws or claws attached to the end of two of their four limbs, and walked by the expansion and contraction of a viscous layer attached to their vast ten-foot bases.
Hey look, something which acknowledges that guns actually existed in the time of samurai.
Also, man, I'd love to be able to hop into an alternate universe where the world was influenced primarily by Eastern design rather than Western stuff. Imagine seeing something like this in the cinema.
