• Does this need stitches?

I cut myself today, on a metal wire fence. Later on I caught the cut (At this point it was only about an inch long) on a metal bar at the edge of my keyboard, put there by eMachines for some stupid reason, and that made the rest of the cut. At the two points circled in green, the cut is about 3 cm wide. Does anyone think this needs stitches? (Forgive the shitty MS drawing)
You are going to die.
Oh my god! That looks nasty! I mean, who saves pictures in JPEG, it just makes it look terrible.
Oh my god! That looks nasty! I mean, who saves pictures in JPEG, it just makes it look terrible.
That was pretty much the same quality as before.
I'd go to the doctor tbh
Post pics.
Post pics.
I will if my camera gets returned by my dad. My mum is telling me to keep it clean and go see the school nurse in the morning. I think I'd better. Getting nasty throbbing and has yet to stop bleeding.
Superglue it it's actually a medical tool
Superglue it it's actually a medical tool
Hit it with some Hydrogen Peroxide. Fill the cut with superglue. Press the edges together, you said it was about 3cm wide so this should work, Run some Ductape lengthwise along the cut to keep it closed. Admittedly, You should probably go to a doctor and get some stitches, as superglue is not sterile and could probably cause some nasty infections.
Go to hospital, now.
Cum on your wound. It will heal up in no time!
Yeah definitely go to the doctor. No wait before you go, just to say you did, fill a tub up with water, fill that with salt and dunk your arm in. Think of it this way - it's a new experience!
convert the cut to communism (User was banned for this post ("meme crap" - Gurant))
Pour salt in it. It'll heal almost instantly
convert the cut to communism
yep. thats usually the only thing that works
medical thread
Welcome to facepunch, fuck you.

You'll need a tetanus jab i'm afraid. Just to be on the safe side. Best off going to A&E or whatever your equivalent is. [editline]12:26AM[/editline] Oh and that wasn't sarcasm, i'm serious... I would think you would want to avoid a possible infection like that :geno:
There's this place called a hospital.
Since you've crafted such an accurate image - which is perfectly enough for us to diagnose wether the cut is severe or not - there is no need for you to go to the hospital since we all here are medical experts. If you, however, feel the urge to do so (for some stupid reason, I dunno.. beats me) I strongly suggest you email it to your doctor instead so he can guide you through your operation via skype, he might even supply you with a few wikipedia articles, his xbox live tag or even show his dick to you on chat roulette.
Show an ACTUAL picture instead of a shit mspaint drawing
3 cm is bad shit, go visit a hospital man are you sure it's 3 cm?
My mum is telling me to keep it clean and go see the school nurse in the morning.
Seriously? The fucking school nurse? Are you poor or is your mom just an idiot? Go to the fucking hospital.
For the record, it's a screw from glasses, not actual glasses. They're about this big.
TROLOLOLOLO. I saw him at school today. He got stitches and has a huge baddasery cut up his arm. His new nickname is Scar.
Surely it's the depth of the cut more so than the length that would cause you to require stitches. Oh, wait. It's 3cm wide aswell? Yeah. Stitches
Finished, hopefully pictures tommorow for all you people who enjoy the sight of blood and gore.

Depends, I was stabbed in the wrist and it was a small entry wound, but it was deep enough to need treatment.
