Holy shit, I just watched the first episode of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
It's exactly what I've been looking for, I'm so excited for the next epsiode.
I don't know what to make of the main character. She reminds me of myself a bit, at the same time I want to slap her and tell her to get over it. She's kind of a ass.
And the Azumanga on Tv was great.

Except for the eyes, the basic facial features do looks similar
They're also about the same height. Looking at he pictures they're different, but I just can't shake the feeling.
Also Azumanga was on the Tv in the first Episode. The Vollyball scene. Maybe that's it.

Jesus they're stupid. They were all [sp]"Let's go to the boat :D!!!"[/sp] and I told myself, it's a stupid idea. It's obviously going to be chaos. Japan is one of the most populated countries in the world with everyone packed into these cities. Throw in a disaster and people get desperate, throw [sp]two boats into that and say it's the only way out [/sp] you've got mobs, tramplings, stabbings and all the other things that come with panic.
[sp]Not to mention they took an elevated bridge to get there, how does that make sense? It doesn't. Then it collapses on them, and they're shocked.[/sp]
If they were smart they'd stay put until the bulk of the JSDF and Disaster Relief and Response units could be deployed and everything calmed down a bit.
They're being a bit too mild with the violence in my opinion. I understand why, but it'd be much worse then they depict.
Still a great show, I'm just nit-picking at the lack of common sense.

This show's great. The only complaint is the CGI or whatever it is they use for the people in the backround, they stick out and act unnaturally. I don't see why they couldn't just draw them.
