Not if it's encoded right. They can have the same quality, but the encodes in MKV tends to take less space.

Nah, they're probably using the same encode with some slight differences in bitrate, MP4 and MKV has both support for the H264 (MPEG-4) encode.

I've seen FMP, I liked it (8/10) because it wasn't all about mecha. It wasn't a true full mecha show. It's more like a military show where they use robots too.

I said biomechanical synthetic humaniod. I mean it's obvious that a pilot would have better control over a mecha if they were linked through their mind rather than pressing buttons on an interface or moving joysticks. If someone isn't in the right mental state, then their pilot capabilities are severly reduced, obviously. The show is so damn dated that it's what made the whole, "add a psychological aspect your mecha show" trope popular. There was never even any fanservice episodes at all.
