You sound like a douche.
Thank you.
The way you post makes it sound like you get upset a lot and have to put on the big man act to show you're the alpha of the thread.
Yeah but that's just the way I post, and I have no intention of changing my behavior.
I don't sugar sweet my words and I post before (or rather, as I'm) thinking and then I'll let edits smooth things out where fit.
Also I am the alpha of the thread. Whatchagonnadoaboutit? :>
the only thing about sakamichi no apollon that's bothering me is the delinquent guy and his "fuck classical music" stance and the whole jazz=free spirit symbolism bullshit
Having watched it now.
Of course he has a "fuck classical music", he's probably only seen and met rich high-class society people that played and listened to the genre. Which is pretty true for the time as well.
He doesn't want to be part of that society, train of thought, rules and general snobbery associated with those who listen to classical music. And he's completely right about the main character's reason for knowing and playing classical music, he has no love for it, he doesn't like it, he just does it because he's been told to do so because that's what all the high-standing people of society does.
Also jazz is free spirit, so uh, obviously.
i already know that; i have nothing against jazz, it is the symbol that jazz is being employed as is very trite
speaking of overused, they made him play clair de lune which isn't particularly loud, so it's a bit strange when his aunt tells him to shut the fuck up. i guess since suite bergamasque was only 51 years old it would make sense.
Trite, maybe, but what should they do about it? Change it to something unrelated that has nothing to do with anything just to be new? (but wrong)
It's not that strange, it's a rich family with lots of rules on what to do and don't do. They obviously have a curfew for when it's acceptable to play and not play the piano. It had nothing to do with the loudness, it had to do with him playing the piano at all.

Wow. Welcome to 2006. I can't believe how many times I've said I'm a dick up through the years.
I'm also a big dick.
Let's rub our big dicks together, with some oil.
I'm also a big dick.

My dick is so straight that it shrinks whenever it's about to touch another dick so that it won't, it will shrink down to negative numbers if necessary.
So you grow a vagina?

Just finished Steins;Gate. A few of the scenes were pretty powerful (Whole series spoilers obviously) [sp]Such as the ones where Okabe tries to save Mayuri over and over again and fails[/sp]
[sp]So in the last episode, they go back to the original time line at the beginning of the anime and we see the events of the 1st episode from the Okabe that has already been through everything. Then they travel forward in time to a time line where everything is OK and the future isn't fucked?[/sp]
Is that what happens in the last episode? I'm sitting here trying to comprehend what just happened lol
Also [sp]What happens to Suzuha? Doesn't she go with Okabe to the time period he's in?[/sp]
da fuq

[sp]Was there an explanation to this? I don't see why she can't exist in that time line. If there was a reason then I guess I just missed it or didn't understand something[/sp]

Is this just a fun episode that has nothing to do with the plot or does it actually contribute to the story

It basically finishes off the series
It basically finishes off the series
Wasn't there a movie announced that will continue the story?
[sp]kurisu should have stayed dead[/sp] in the ending of steins;gate
ok maybe not
[sp]kurisu should have stayed dead[/sp] in the ending of steins;gate
? Is that the real ending at the end of the VN or something?
No.
So does the anime show the true ending?
So does the anime show the true ending?
Define true ending.
The canon ending, what's suppose to happen etc

that's a terrible generalization, classical music was not solely for high-class rich society. if anything classical music was on the rise in 1960s japan, simply being overshadowed by the jazz boom..
this isn't completely true, this is not a shinji ikari case of playing an instrument and not stopping just bc he was never told to. it's more likely that he plays piano bc of he liked his father doing it and clearly bc he uses it to escape.
the main point here was that they used a standard fare classical music piece
Wasn't there a movie announced that will continue the story?
There is, but it won't be a recap. It's going to be more of a stand alone plot I think.

I never read his manga, but I remember unlocking him in Tekken 3. Little farting T-Rex!
Finally got around to watching the first episode of Eureka seven ao, definitely looking forward to more.
