Go to the bookstore. Every bookstore I've been to in my city has shelves packed full of manga.
Good luck finding anything here that isn't Ranma, DBZ, OP, Conan or Inuyasha.

That was a really weird, and sad, manga.

Love Hina was the first manga I read - In a barns and nobles near my high-school (back in freshman year, graduated uni. recently), it's what made me a weaboo.

Yes.

It's adorable love shit imo.
A great short read though.

aren't all libraries in japan like that?
Started to read the Accel World manga.

definitely better than the anime.
also the first manga i ever read (and only one I ever finished) was SandLand back in 2003. Shit I was like 12 at the time. I tried to reread it again a year ago and it was pretty terrible!

The Accel World manga covers a lot of things that the anime cut out for time that really does make it much better.

A lot of the problems I had with the anime ([sp]Like how it never mentioned what happened at the end of haru/taku's fight or that they had a complete tie so no points were gained/lost[/sp]) were dealt with in the manga. It even takes the time to properly explain how brainburst works (sort of). I'll still watch the anime because it certainly makes the fights a lot more interesting, but the rest of the show pales in comparison. Although I think that's generally the case with most manga->anime adaptations?
Which reminds me that I definitely need to go and read the Planetes manga. Apparently the anime started getting worked on shortly after the third chapter of the manga came out, so they're entirely different stories.
Manga. Okay lets do this:
Post yours: First manga you finished.
Hot Gimmick
I think mine was Uzumaki. That certainly set an interesting depiction of what manga would be like.
We've had several manga threads/megathreads in GD before. Manga isn't really bannable on FP.
Wait, can we post links to downloads, or only sites where they can be read?
Wait, can we post links to downloads, or only sites where they can be read?
i'm p sure linking to downloads is warez, however reading onlin is comparable to watching stuff on youtube, which ended up being fine
although you can link to downloads of love hina and most other ken akamatsu shit bc he let people dl them free off a site he made
also, freezing ended up being pretty okay
it just seems like a different vesrion of NGE with fanservice/PLOT instead of psychological shit. the storytelling varies between decently written and stupid shit. the main male lead is a piece of shit; it probably has to do with how bad his voice actor is. 7/10
5th episod of excel world was p hott

Fucking read this shit!
The anime was decent, but only covered 1/4th of the full plot and the gore unfortunately had to be toned down (obviously).
wow what the fuck. facepunch works like shit on my phone for some reason. pages dont load completely and formatting fails badly.

Oh hai, happy birthday to me.
Totally forgot it was today since it felt like I just had my eighteenth not too long ago.
And for some weird reason my birthday is listed in April in my FP profile.

Oh hai, happy birthday to you.
First manga I finished was Parasyte, which was quickly followed up by BioMeat: Nectar (I read both around the same time and finished them a day apart)
The Accel World manga covers a lot of things that the anime cut out for time that really does make it much better.
From reading the light novel translations it seems that the manga cut out a fair portion of content as well
Aquraion 20
yfw Zessica wins da aqua lion.
so I got a promotion to a position where I get paid more and do less and just sit most of the shift, no one is watching either, I actually have a great time to read manga now :d
I have a question: was NGE reanimated back in 2008?
or is that the movie?

Finished Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Only Zan SZS Bangaichi and the Blu-ray extra episode left. Feels bad saying goodbye to such a great series.

I read this a while ago, overall it was pretty disapointing in the end for me. The gore was pretty neat but that was about the end of it for me.
