Why not? The screen is big, I needed something to do on a 6 hours long car trip, followed by a 3 hours long boat ride, and it was a nice way to pass the time.
How did the battery even survive that? My S3 almost dies after an hour or two of gaming.
Had an usb-car-adapter thingy which I used to charge my phone.
One of these
I watched steins gate on my S3 (which has amazing resolution btw, 1280x720, so it was loss-less quality), and it was really good, as I expected it to be after all the praise it got in this thread while it was airing.
I think the part that I liked the most was the characters, there wasn't one I didn't love, and the ones I liked the most where [del]Okabe[/del] Hououin and [del]Kurisu[/del] Christina, which had a lot of screen time. It was also well written, and had a new take on the entire "time-travel" genre (not really a genre, but I can't find a better word).
And as a fellow VN enthusiast I will probably play trough the game aswell.
I ordered an S3 yesterday. My first smartphone (been going with an old brick for the past few years) so can't wait to get it.
I don't exactly want to watch deathnote, is there anything similar to Full Metal Panic, or code geass? I've watched GL aswell, looking for a new mecha show.
Final episode of Sakamichi Appollon is out. Last episode of Tsuritama to follow in about 20 minutes.

My first smartphone as well. Got it friday last week.
Haven't obtained a micro SIM card yet though since I need to change the ownership of the phone subscription from my dad to me, which I have sent in but yet to hear anything from. Then phone them and ask them to send me a Micro SIM card.

Time to get my jazz on
If you want a show with similarities; Death Note's main character is more or less who they based Lelouch upon.
It doesn't exactly have robots or the like, but it's quite similar in that it's a genius high-schooler with a super-power who (at least originally) attempts to change the world for the better while trying keeping his identity a secret.
no that's not why death note is similar to code geass
it's because both of them have insanely retarded gambles and "YOU JUST ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD" moments
After these two end I'm going to have less to watch. Polar Bear's Café at least seems to be continuing onwards, as well as Hyouka and Eureka Seven AO. What other ongoing series are there you would recommend I look into? Was thinking about starting Space Brothers after today at least.

Man I went to some con here in Scotland earlier this year and they showed movies and whatnot. The first thing was some Yu-Gi-Oh movie that brought together a bunch of the protagonists. Never saw the show before, but MAN that trap card thing.
Plus side, they then played Summer Wars and Redline.
Space Brothers is very good, I recommend that you do start watching it.
Eh, the end for Sakamichi Appollon was very... Uh, dull?
It was actually pretty shitty. Nothing had weight, nothing really meant anything and the time skip was completely ineffective. Shit happened really fast and went surprisingly easy as well.
In the end it was a show about nothing. It was good nevertheless, but I feel the end really left everything hanging and just making you go "that was it?" which is a major letdown.

I can't understand how people still aren't watching Space Brothers when we've praised it so much.
Hmm, I had heard that the end of Sakamichi was really good, by someone who read the manga before going onto the series. Wonder if the series just didn't do it as well.

Then again, I've been posting here for not long over a week?

Hm, the Sakamichi no Apollon ending was decent.
[sp]Glad to see them finding each other after 8 years, and damn, Kaoru looked good as a grown up.[/sp]
Want a second season since it was so good, but I don't think there's anything to make it about.
Oh well, enjoyed it a lot overall, art and music and how things fit to the setting in the anime was great. 9/10
Well, after delaying it for a pretty long time, finally watched and finished Baccano. It lived up to it's expectations and I really liked the Isaac and Miria duo.
Haven't watched anime for a while now, I can't seem to find anything that interests me these past few seasons.

One of the best seasons in years.

I ain't saying it's a bad season, I just can't seem to find anything that interests me in it.

That's my point. It's one of the best seasons and you can't find anything interesting.

Ok then.
Haha, that ending to Tsuritama was funny.
Good last episode.
Edit:
HA! Watch after the credits.
Tsuritama ending [sp]seemed a little anticlimactic, but in a funny way, with how it just dissolved all the tension with how tiny and quiet the dragon (Urara) turned out to be. So it got away with that, and was still a very good ending.[/sp]
Oh and [sp]haaaa using Haru as the lure just seemed like such a drunk idea gone horribly wrong sort of thing to do, like "okay what if HARU was the lure" so they tie rope around his neck and throw him off a boat.[/sp]
Ok then.
Well you could start off by telling us what type of shows you like, genre, length etc.
I'm sure someone has a good reccomendation

[sp]The fishing line should have cut his head clean off after Yuki swung the pole to maneuver past the ship. Then again, anime[/sp]
tsuritama so satisfying ending. I've been grinning for the last five minutes oh god.
[editline]28th June 2012[/editline]
Although I was sort of expecting the last gambit to go a bit differently since [sp]in episode 11, Yuki is wearing a big red coat and it turns out that alien fish love red things. Was totally expecting Yuki to act as the bait instead of Haru.[/sp]
[editline]28th June 2012[/editline]
but then again, expectations aren't always necessarily the one that I preferred.
tsuritama awesome ending
Kids on a Slope and Tsuritama had awesome endings. Loved them both.
Tried watching Nichijou, but it's way too fast-paced for me.
Tried Daily lives of High School Boys instead, and holy shit it's good

Good soundtrack too

I said the same thing till I forced myself to watch a good few episodes, but i don't really think it's for everyone
Save it for another time!
