Will this form of cancer disfigure you? Reading about it on wikipedia scared me a lot.
I don't think so.
I feel really bad for you, but I wanna ask you something. Since you have cancer, how do people around threat you? (Family, friends, etc)
My parents have been sleeping in my hospital room with me every day since I was admitted, other close family are concerned and worried but all are very supportive. My parents especially, I couldn't hold myself together for the next 3 months without them, they're amazing.
What made you go get it checked out?
The end of the December gauntlet, couldn't eat or drink because my tract was filled up to the block off and could not sleep due to the chronic intense intestinal cramping and nausea.
Do you drink protein shakes?
I used to drink them all of the time in health, here in the hospital I drink them sometimes
How did you discover it / what made you suspicious?
It was discovered via a CT scan at the E.R I never could have imagined it could have been cancer
Are you bitter?
Not really, I just wish I could know the reason for it all.
Do you have regrets about this whole experience, or do you see it as building to your character and making you stronger? Most people I've met who have experienced cancer in their lifetime seem to be very optimistic people who live life to the fullest, go to a lot of concerts, and smoke a lot of weed.
Speaking of this now only a month into treatment I can't say. Right now I feel crushed as a person, which is mostly my own fault. All of my life I've had a completely drug-free philosophy, so having so many narcotics and many many other drugs going in to me caused me untold amounts of anxiety ontop of everything else, not to mention iodine injections and numerous CT scans. Eventually I've just come to accept all of these drugs and submit. I'm even taking Zoloft that my oncologist ordered, one that I've always been horrified of. In short, my fear of drugs has caused me more suffering than anything in here. I still have solitary moments where I wish I could tune out and stop existing, but the only thing holding me back from suicidal desires is my parents. But I can't really blame myself, I was thrown into all of this so fast that I had no time to research or educate myself on ANYTHING that was about to happen to me something I desperately required in order to ease my mind but there was just no time, only a 4 hour train ride to absorb it all, made even more difficult as I was dilerious and just wanted sleep. The day I found out I had cancer I was omitted and went home, took my first shower in 2 weeks, said goodbye to everyone that could meet us there and hopped on a train bound for the cancer treatment center, upon arrival they wanted to begin CT scans etc right away. I hadn't slept in 20 hours, and was sleep deprived to begin with, I demanded they let me sleep, otherwise I would not cooperate, they did. it was 8 hours but beats the 2 I would have gotten.
Do you get to communicate with other cancer patients at the hospital? I have heard from friends that have had cancer that they became good friends with other patients with similar diagnoses.
I met someone who is also 17 and has cancer we'll most likely end up good buds
Do you have regrets about this whole experience, or do you see it as building to your character and making you stronger? Most people I've met who have experienced cancer in their lifetime seem to be very optimistic people who live life to the fullest, go to a lot of concerts, and smoke a lot of weed.
Regrets, well I definitly could have done without any of this but I guess the only valid regret I have has been my depressed anxious attitude
This guys going through a difficult time in his life and half of you guys only care to ask "DO U SMOKE WEED?" Fucking rude if you ask me.
I have to disagree, because weed has been proven to be one of the best drugs a person can take to relieve the pain of going trough chemo, help getting to sleep and incresing apetite. how did your friends react?
Hope your recovery is swift. Meanwhile, what are your favorite games to play?
What are your thoughts on the Modern Warfare franchise?

If the guy doesn't use it and feels good as is why the fuck are you pushing it into his face?
Seriously you can go fuck yourself with your piece of shit weed. If the guy doesn't use it and feels good as is why the fuck are you pushing it into his face?
Chill out, dude. It doesn't seem like he is pushing anything into anyone's face. Relax.
How tough is chemotherapy?
My friend just had a portion of his intestines removed due to some form of cancer, and now his food comes out of his stomach into a bag. He told me he doesn't fart or poop anymore. His almost killed him though, it was emergency surgeory due to his Crohn's disease. :/
What has been the single object/person that has kept you going
At first have you felt like you where going to die or did you know you where going to recover?
What's the one thing you would say was opened to you through this experience?
I know this is a "fast thread", but nonetheless, I wish you the best of luck man. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
Is your wife, is she a goer? Know what I mean know, what I mean, nudge nudge, wink wink. But in all seriousness, I'm really sorry for you. I hope it's treatable and not severe.
how did your friends react?
I havn't talked to any since grade school :(. I've been a shut-in since I was 10.
Hope your recovery is swift. Meanwhile, what are your favorite games to play?
I've been playing Diablo II and some browser flash games on a laptop here in the hospital. At home on my main rig it was HL2, DoD:S and L4D2, with a lot of hammer editor in between.
What are your thoughts on the Modern Warfare franchise?
Never played it
How tough is chemotherapy?
These days not as bad, it will tire you out, and likely cause the tissue in your mouth to sluff off, which is probably the worst part of the entire treatment.
I hope you recover man, I knew some people with cancer and it was terrible.
Hey guys just updating with some good news. It's been less than a month and 3 of the 4 tumors are gone, and the great big son of a bitch that was pinching off my colon has been reduced from 12cm to 4cm. My next round of chemo is on Sunday.

1. What does your room look like compared to a normal hospital room? 2. How do you feel about homeschooling? 3. Where is all this taking place? Like, where in the US.
1. What does your room look like compared to a normal hospital room? 2. How do you feel about homeschooling? 3. Where is all this taking place? Like, where in the US.
It's basically an ordinary modern hospital room with an extra area with a sink and cupboards full of saline syringes, gloves, misc IV related items etc. etc. and staff laptop, this area is for the oncology nurses. aside from that the room is a little larger than an ordinary hospital room, it has a tv, a mini fridge and a couch. I love homeschooling, at home I'm able to sleep as long as I want, and usually choose the time to study, though it can easily lead to a lonely life, for me at least. I'm at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
I know that feel, bro.
I was home schooled through high school, so I can relate to the lonely thing.

3/4 rounds done, Cytarabine kicked my ass, feeling okay now. My oncologist is aiming to have my treatment complete by April 2nd.
What do you usually do to kill time? If the answer is videogames then; pitch your favourite.
3/4 rounds done, Cytarabine kicked my ass, feeling okay now. My oncologist is aiming to have my treatment complete by April 2nd.
Dude, you're already almost done? Nice, mine was six months long. Lost your hair?
I want a cure for cancer to be discovered already :(
If you ever want to play Diablo 2 with someone shoot me a PM and I'll play it with you.
