My point is good pianos on average are more expensive than most other instruments of comparable quality. My crappy Korean-made upright piano cost about $3,000 when we bought it 18 years ago; a comparable one today would cost about $4,000. Even a good upright will set you back about $20,000 as well. I don't really consider keyboards pianos because the action and sound just isn't the same.
Also I cannot throw shit like rubber balls and bananas into a keyboard's soundboard so they are useless to my skillset as a pianist.
why use a piano when you can have a kazoo
Because only on a piano can you play Shenmue theme
why use a piano when you can have a kazoo
why use either when a ukulele is obviously the superior instrument :ok:
why use a piano when you can have a kazoo
nothing beats the sweet sounds of a kazoo battle
pianos are kinda overrated imo tbh soundtracks composed entirely and solely of piano are the worst, it screams "emotional feels bullshit", and I feel like piano is one of the few instruments besides guitar which is used as the sole instrument in some entire soundtracks. There ain't no fuckin romance film composed entirely on a tuba.
It is amazing how the piano has carved it's own path to become the "standard instrument." Look at shit like the lute, organ, harpsichord, etc which all were big at one time or another but fell out of favor.

You can even argue the guitar has fallen out of favor while the piano is still going strong in 2016.
can we have the standard instrument be the musical saw
The loudest concert I have been to was when someone attached mics to a musical saw and then starting throwing it around. There were like 25 speakers all set to full blast and the gain on the mic was set to full blast.
nothing beats the sweet sounds of a kazoo battle
kazoo 2 the death
imagine a sex scene brought together by a sensual track composed with a musical saw it's like a clown orgy
Picture this: A romantic scene that is the climax of the movie. Our two lovers are finally together after so much trial, esentially going through Hell to be together. At their most wonderfull moment they are surrounded by the sound of bagpipes.

you are all girly anime lovers, pfft I should of known the instance I was on this forum my first time
I like the piano because it has such an unparalleled range of sound when played in the right hands. A selection of four pieces from four key eras of piano composition will tell you this: Baroque: Classical: Romantic: Impressionist: Same pianist, same instrument. Completely different sound. This is why the piano has been the reigning monarch of the instruments since its invention.
