Get Mega Man 9/10 if you like classic style games.
Spelunky on XBLA is pretty good, but I would recommend you try it before you buy it.
Castle Crashers is pretty awesome, especially with friends.
Finally, Shadow Complex is pretty good. It's a Metroidvania style game, and it's possibly one of the best arcade games on the market.

This list is good.
Though I'd like to add Trials Evolution, it's an amazing game with a shit ton of content.
I recommend Fez or 'Splosion Man.

The first has given me about 90 hours of gameplay so far since I bought it a week after release.

fez is unpatched and has plenty of glitches on it (including one game breaking one that erases your saves in the final part of the game).
