They already did the one to see if a pressurized barrel or ox tank would explode when shot at. You can shoot right through it, but the only way to make it explode is to shoot it with some kind of special tracer round,.

YES! This is the oldest myth ever and got researched probably before you were born; the cold lowers your immune system, allowing influenza (and other viruses) to enter your body with greater ease. Please research first... if The Myth Busters did an episode on that, they'd get like... shut down for stupidity on the Discovery Channel.
