1. It uses time dilation, so all clothes as well as the machine itself can travel with me. Think of it like a space shuttle that accelerates so fast that my own tineline is warped, too hard to explain right now really.
2. Wars have been started yes, Russian aggression keeps expanding into Ukraine and Belarus willingly gets annexed, Greece succumbed to facsim after decades of desperation due to debt and Italy, southern Europe had to stop them with the help of NATO
America never ofically had a 2nd civil war but it was pretty damn close, government is a lot less corrupt now then it was in the 2020's
3. Isis kinda just fizziled out, now multiple terror groups have taken its place, they aren't centralized anymore just a bunch of angry radicals with guns who fight amongst each other and perform terror attacks
4. Everything went digital, physical copies are vintage
5. Nanobots change medical technology drastically, and 3d printers were starting to catch on commercially but were outlawed in 2035 due to people trying to print biological material and weapons at insane rates, as well as forging money. Today only government agencies use it, not even commercial businesses have access.
6. No we haven't cured all diseases, but we are pretty damn close with nanotechnology, bubonic plague returned in Europe for a bit due to antibiotic resistance but was quickly halted.

The current president is an Hispanic right wing Republican woman named cecilia alvarez. She was elected mainly due to public frustration with extreme societal leftism. Her policies are very conservative and capitalist.

Not a big deal, some weird weather stuff but most countries today were forced to adapt to a mixture of several renewable energy sources depending on the area. Fossil fueled cars are not completely obeselete but you can see the progression occuring.

There are some contemporary TV shows that say a lot about our culture, but a lot of them are written by middle-aged people who don't totally understand some advances in technology (a lot of shows have shoehorned pop culture references and pointless "let's take a selfie lol" moments, lots of ad campaigns with [URL="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-domh-VmyWyY/VeoP2BCLvgI/AAAAAAACJH0/wXI8wDr09Rg/s800/The%2Bmuppets%2Bbillboard.jpg"]everyone using their phones[/URL])
I'd say Portlandia is a good starting point for absorbing our culture. It's a satirical show about 2010s stuff that isn't too cringeworthy.
The current big thing in our political scene is the idea of "political correctness" in our society restricting free speech and stopping people from "telling it like it is", although people who think this way are considered reactionary because they miss the days when they could be bigoted and discriminatory and not face any consequences. White and Christian conservatives think they're being oppressed because steps are being taken to give other people the same freedoms they've always had. Everyone is starting to get more equal, and the people who historically have had an advantage perceive it as injustice towards them.

I can't really definitely prove anything sorry, I was told not to influence any timelines just to be safe, as this is only the 2nd run of the machine. The current means of time travel involves time dilation and space travel, so I'm not exactly inclined to show you that, I don't really know how to prove it to you, I have some 3d printed plexiglass with me, is that avaliable yet? It is primarily used in conveyance outfit in my time.

This will soon increase, as private companies begin to pander to the radical left, extreme censorship will begin stunting cultural progress for many years, that is why the radical right has been thriving in my time out of years of frustration with the left

Politicians of your time are not remembered very fondly, on the right or the left. Later in your timeline radical leftism achieves extreme equality but at the cost of personal freedom and innovation, so there is a big movement against leftist ideals in the late 2040's. Here we go, i believe i have uploaded an image, tell me about any difficulties and i will attempt to fix them.
I cannot post my craft, as it is about the size of an airplane and im not really supposed to share that for safety reasons, however I think the above image is harmless enough and doesnt prove too much. It is called an esculent clincher, used to hold edibles in place while being cut by the thermal slizer. The metal has to be strong to withstand the heat so its an nobium ammoculate steel alloy.

It seems like the only "proof" he'd be able to provide would be his phone, but considering it's Android, that might mess up some timeline stuff if a company sees what its future products will look like.
