Homestuck, from my understandings, is a convoluted dumbass story enjoyed by sperglords.
I read some of it, but it went nowhere incredibly fast.

fairly mediocre webcomic for hipsters. They praise it for being HIGHLY COMPLICATED, but personally I hate how slow it is and Hussie relishes in fucking about with chronology and cutting between new characters. He introduces a new character like every 5 minutes and it gets really annoying.
I read up to the start of Act 5 and not a lot had happened. Apparently you have to read the preceding 5 hours' worth of comic in order to read Act 5, which is apparently good, but at that point i'd given up.
If you didn't like the first few acts then you won't like any of it.
Kudos for not skipping any content instead of running off to act 5 straight away just to read about the trolls. I'll never understand how people can skip all that content.
I can't agree it's a very complex story, I found it fairly straight forward. Just lots of perspectives from the same timeline.
Homestuck: The most confusing shit ever. Seriously. Fucking BINARY is easier to figure out than this shit!
The worst best thing.
I disagree. It is quite logical to assume that one individual will act in a similar manner to another individual if both individuals share common interests, ages and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Therefore if I spot a group of twenty something males dressing as trolls and spitting in buckets in wallmart or whatever I'm going to assume the entire group is mentally retarded and try my best to avoid them.
Now let's extend the metaphor, the wallmart is now the internet, and the group is now everyone who likes the homestuck, I'm not going to waste my time getting to know every individual, discussing their fan-trolls and typing like a thirteen year old counterstrike player in order to separate retard from non retard, instead I'm going to say "everyone here is a retard" and leave promptly.
FYI that kind of thinking is why there are so many idiots in the world who hate on each other for no reason. If people ditched this idiotic mentality towards groups of people the world would be a much better place and I really urge you to stop doing what you are doing.
About Homestuck, it is a pretty cool webcomic that people make out to be the most complicated thing ever, when it really isn't. (Everything is explained at one point or the other) More than the comic there are a lot of music albums related to Homestuck which are really amazing, and good art if you ignore the more blatant abominations put out by certain fans.
It's a long (but worth it) comic.
I'd suggest you read it if you
have spare time. :downs:
Prequel's not bad. my main gripe with it though is how hard he(she?) drills the whole "I'm a fuck up" schtick.
I mean I get that that's the point of the story, and I don't want him(her?) to stop making everything go horribly wrong or anything, but I don't need a huge exposition paragraph every other page filled with nothing but sobby self-loathing and shit. I mean its a comedy story, and then you get a huge heavy-handed inner-monologue about how she should just give and and forget making it somewhere in her new life, etc, etc.
Well, it's not like Katia can do anything super amazing. Prequel is a prequel to Oblivion. In the end she will end up in jail and be visited by the Emperor and the rest is history.
don't tell me that bitch drinks that shit
