I was browsing gamespot a few years back. I recently discovered I could download mods for games I owned, so I went in the downloads tabs of half-life 2 and found gmod.
And eventually I got here.

People kept releasing my models here without crediting me at all. So other people who were here earlier linked me to this place.
I got linked to some of the photoshop contests (gentlemen, ninjas can't catch you) a few times, i think it was through stumbleupon and some other places. Then i decided to join after i saw how much fun this place was. :dance:
I found it by either searching for "garry's mod" or "hl2 pictures." I lurked for about 2 years before I even got a Source game. Then after I got Gmod I registered.

Then i started to understand what a forum was and made my way to GD after about a year.

I knew about it ever since I knew about gmod, as a lot of the pictures, videos, addons, all link to facepunch. I then became a member when I needed help with gmod.
Looked at Wikipedia for Gmod and saw the link, registered, forgot the acc for half a year, found it and is now using it :keke:

Also, I don't remember how I found out about facepunch. I think it was mentioned in one of the earlier versions of gmod, when it was free. So I went to it and have been here ever since. Originally from '05 so whatever version was around then.
Garry's mod 7 or 8. Found the forums long before I joined. Just used them to find downloads, find people discussing bugs and fixes, stuff like that. I finally joined a while after Gmod 9 came out.
Well first I read a webcomic somebody said they'd made in something called 'Garry's Mod' so I went and tried it out, after all, it was free.
However, I didn't find out about Facepunch until a month later in the middle of 2006ish when somebody on another forum posted the ban list along with "Oh wow look how many people get banned here" and so I was scared off joining for over half a year.
Someone told me about it in gmod late 2005, and I joined 2006. I don't remember the pass or email to my old account D:
I saw Gmod on attack of the show about 3 - 4 years ago, then found my way here.
I was recording a gmod (9) movie involving car stunts (Gmow). Some guy, who was helping me on the server, said "You gonna put it on facepunch?". I didn't know what facepunch was, so...
Decided to find a new forum to shit post it, looks like it turned out to be facepunch
Followed a link from a 'Readme' on one of the much older stargate packs. Yes, some people do read Readme's... sometimes :3:
