So, what you're basically saying is, that your life is less important than everyone else's?
Remember, there is no midpoint here. There is no possible situation where both you and the person in front of you live. So either your life is more important, or his is more important. By saying "I'll never do it" You're basically saying "Everyone's life on this planet is more important than mine", which is pretty noble yet depressing at the same time.

Also, this argument doesn't detail whether or not you've given time to think. If you had, say, 3 seconds, your self preservation instinct would be a lot stronger than usual.

it depends what you would consider importance. what exactly do you consider importance on this planet?
I most likely would. I wouldn't take any joy in it, but for some reason I feel as though it wouldn't haunt me for the rest of my life, but that would all depend on who it is I was supposed to kill.
No that isn't being fair to that person. They did nothing to me.
It depends on if the person I have to kill, someone I love? No. Someone random? Yes.
Nope. Probably not.
Maybe.
I could take a life to save my own; However this situation is not absolute. I would like to think I would not kill someone who has a greater chance of helping humanity such as a scientist, doctor, teacher, etc.
gladly
only if it was in self defense.
wow all of you are selfish motherfuckers

We live in a world filled with selfish people for the most part, but that doesn't necessarily make them bad people, it just means that people will do almost anything to prevent themselves from being killed. Survival instinct pretty much, plus people have family's who love them, so there's the question that would it be inconsiderate towards your loved ones to allow yourself to die?
People tend to need an incentive to consider someone else before them. If you're being told to kill someone you don't know to save yourself, what reason have you got to consider putting them before you? For all you know, they might not have thought twice before deciding to kill you to save themselves.
Thats called war my friend.
I think, eventhough this is your opinion, you probably would do it if you had this choice.
Surviving is just a human instinct. We do what we must to survive so given the chance, I'd say most people would kill another to save their own skin
If it was for saving someone else, I wouldn't mind dying unless it isn't some painful torture.
Yes, but Id make sure they wouldn't suffer.
Depends on the person I'm killing. Most likely no.
Yes, unless the guy im killing has some significance towards the future of earth
I will do it if he threatens my life, in any ways.
Exorcising the life of a used-to-be-friend who became a super villain would be a great reason to kill that terrorist
This reminds me of some films and a video game where the people decide to kill each other, mostly because they start becoming crazy. Killing your other five guest colleges at Stauf's Mansion just because you want it the most and don't want anyone else to get anything, or you simply cannot keep cool and stay sane? That's just nonsense from Horror movies, even Autistic people can keep themselves together!
No I wouldn't, I'm not worth it.
Probably.
It's easy to say you wouldn't but in severe, life threatening situations people react in ways they would never predict.
Its kill or be killed
Yes. Value my life far greater than anyone elses :)
While my value of life might not be greater than someone else's I personally value it more because it's mine, of course I would kill that person, no doubt. The only exceptions I could make is if I was like over 50 and the victim was under ~30, or was my son/daughter.
Only if I don't know the person and I can choose to kill them humanely
I would spare their life though if MY death would by painless
It would depend on what the person is like. I'd probably give them a chance at killing me to save themselves anyway.
