Most of the time I like playing females, but If the game make male characters look badass I choose male
Since I am a white guy, I often play as a white guy if there's an option.
Male because I'm not confused about my sexuality.
I prioritize male but I'll pick female if there's cool armour/dialogue choices/gameplay alterations/I'm bored. One such example is picking female in Fallout New Vegas because Vera's Outfit looks about a trillion times better on a female than it does a male.
i like to play as girls
It really depends on the type of character I'm making in the game. I usually base my characters off of old shit I made up when I was younger, or some roleplaying garbage.
Guy, I'm the kind of person that likes to imagine myself in the game so I find it a little less immersive trying to play as a chick.
First person male Third person female I mean if I'm going to stare at an ass for hours it mind as well be a chick.
It depends, playing as female characters will sometimes net you some different dialog choices, plus in MMOs free by saying you're a girl. I once netted 4 rare lightsaber crystals,4 million credits, and a rare mount in Star Wars Galaxy just but have a decent looking female model.
Male, for immersion
this especially when i can make the character look like me :v:
Somebody once pointed out that it is wise to go female, unless you want to stare at a man's ass all day.
When there is a choice I personally prefer to play my first play through of a game as a male, take it seriously and make him as badass as possible then play as a female to have something good to look at in the second. Also depends on my mood upon creation.
it really depends on the game for me tbh. sometimes the game's atmosphere strikes me a certain way and i just feel like a male character fits it better than a female character or vice versa like for example i always play as a guy in Fallout 3 but most of the time i play as a woman in New Vegas, no idea why
I normally play as girls nowadays, since, well, I am one, and I find girls more relatable than guys and also when games have a male/female option I prefer it because hey not like you're gonna see that shit in many other games what does annoy me though is that even in games where it's an option, the canon usually has the character be male and also in every bit of marketing it will be a man I don't want to be petty but just once I'd like to see a game with this kind of option marketed like this on occasion I do play men though, when I feel it suits the character I envision better, for instance, I've been playing a handsome dark elf thief type character on oblivion and I had a hard time imagining him not being male
Somebody once pointed out that it is wise to go female, unless you want to stare at a man's ass all day.
you know the first time I ever heard that waaaaaay back, I was like yeah but then over time it's gradually become more and more disgusting a statement to me
Depends if the game is online or not. If its an MMO I never play female characters, because I hate getting hit on by dudes. If its offline, then I dont care
Male most of the time. I had a female character in Skyrim though. But my main was male
i usually go with female, 'cause most protagonists in video games are male by default and its kinda boring to play as a male. unless the male character looks better than the female, like orc females in WoW.
male every time just because
I mess around in the character creation until it turns out nicely, i normally don't put to much thought into the gender
If I have the option to I'll pretty much always pick a black man. My first Mass Effect character ended up looking like Obama. It just seems kinda odd how you can never play as a black guy in FPS games.
Depends on the type of game. If it's like an online (mmo)rpg, I will choose male. Mainly because I am male. If it's a singleplayer and offline game (like pokemon) I (most of the time) pick female. I just like female main characters more.
I do two playthroughs one for each. Generally male character is a bruiser and the female is good with ranged weapons and stealth, so I can experience what the game has to offer.
Male because I am male.
female because i wish i was a girl, specifically an anime princess
female because i wish i was a girl, specifically an anime princess
You too?!
You too?!
im sailor mars
I always play as male, except that people for some reason think I'm a girl. Maybe my name?
I start off as a male, but in a new playthrough, i'd probably play as a female.
Usually male, but in SR3 I played as a female simply because I liked the latina voice
Usually male. I'll pick female for a second run or just to see if anything's different.
