I use Norton, mainly because I get it free from school, but its a damn good AV program, despite what people lead you to believe. However, it is probably overkill for anyone that isn't running a business that has an online presence or something like that.

AVG dosen't work on my computer for some odd strange reason. And as for Avast! it was the last one I used but I didn't see any free version of it.

I use MalwareBytes for removing Adware and Spyware. I don't really use an Antivirus that progressively scans your PC.
