You should set up a system where the vests register hits and you duel on a platform over a pool. Take three hits and the platform below you drops you into the pool.

I always had an idea of building a raised platform over my pool where you would play Dodgeball. There would be about a 10 foot gap in between each platform so that people couldn't guard the line. Also, there would be a tiny as hell button/target/switch that if hit 3 times, would drop the entire opposing team into the water, becoming an instant win.
Then I realized I don't have the money or an Olympic sized swimming pool to do such a thing.
Left-handed people have a great edge in fistfights. Or any kind of close-ranged combat. That may have been the reason that made us survive natural selection.

Perhaps use specially-built foils designated for such an occasion. Or just have a large gap instead of water and attach elastic cords to the vests.
