I want to get my license as soon as possible, and Drivers Ed allows me to get it an entire year earlier, so why NOT take it?

that doesn't mean you'll be a good driver. i'm not saying it applies to everyone, or even really has to do with taking drivers ed; but everyone i know who took it is much worse behind the wheel than i am.
i also held off for a bit longer anyway because i had to learn on a manual transmission, which is how it should be done anyway.

"Don't hit the car behind you when parallel parking."
"Stop at stop signs."
"You should probably do routine maintenance on your vehicle."
"Don't run over people. It damages the car."
but as of now i've had no parking tickets, speeding tickets, or anything like that. no fender benders or serious accidents either. can't say the same about people i know that jumped in right away to get their license as soon as possible.

I'm apparently a decent driver. I have some issues here and there but that's to be expected when you first start out.
Sat through The Adjustment Bureau. It was alright, but considering the premise heavily implied mindfuckery, there wasn't much of that to be had. It was also rather chick-flicky, despite the punching.
my uncle has a supercharged buick like that. aside from the supercharger though it's not much fun.

i'm referring to when you're actually driving alone. it's a completely different experience at first. that's when some people will really mess up.

of course you get used to it real fast, but you just need to stay alert. people don't seem to be capable of keeping their eyes on the road, especially now with cell phones and all the fancy radios and shit like that
I rarely use my cellphone and I just leave the radio on NPR so I don't have much to distract me. :buddy:
