After I beat Portal for the first time I learned how to perform the portal phase glitch / exploit that lets you pass into the glass rooms and stand on the top of the maps. I just used it to get to places I shouldn't have and throw everything that isn't nailed down into a material emancipation grid, but I've seen playthroughs where people have exploited this to save the Weighted Companion Cube and reunite him with the second one in the cake room.
