The location of my LAN party seems to be perfect in every single way with the exception of having a goddamn internet connection
I fucking hate it when I am in the middle of a game, in a important moment and then suddenly my PC freezes up and gives me a blue screen, causing me to lose the game.
I keep getting a kernel 41 power error. Sometimes I can play for an hour, sometimes 30 minutes, sometimes 6 hours. Annoying as fuck.
I made curry but forgot about carrots :c
When people think that civil rights won't be trampled despite the history of those who are chosen because the guy who hired them[sp]held a rainbow flag or had a gay guy from silicon valley speak.[/sp]
It's super fucking hot at work.
They won't lower the heat, which is running for some reason despite it being 80F.
I'm still light headed and dizzy.
I don't want to be here.
I hate that I always have to skip/miss social events/family get-togethers because of common work hours.
Not time of day or anything, just the raw amount of time a normal work schedule takes out of your free time.
9 hours a day, 5 days a week. Even after all that some of my co-workers are barely managing to break even.
But it's such an expected norm these days that it seems like any job with more reasonable hours are just fairy tales.

I don't get why "Sleep 8 hours, Work 9 hours, Do literally everything else in the remaining time" is considered a fair balance.
The company I used to work for changed to 10-4 work days instead partly because of this.
This was a very, very small one-city company, though. People could elect to work 10-4 instead of 9-5 but make up those hours on an extra day.

This is why I've been so picky about applying. I actually need to have a life thanks.
Also I was planning on studying in Canada but needed someone to co-sign a loan for me (my parents are happy to act as a safety net and I have my own savings, but there isn't any options for interntional students that don't require a co-signer).
Found out that I had a Canadian uncle, but he's been dead for 9 years.
I'm not mad because I didn't know him but I kind of would have liked to. My family is terrible for staying in touch.
Fall asleep at irregular position.
As the result,my back, neck, and sides hurt a lot when woke up
People who refuse to play a game "because it's old"
Like is it really that hard to get over graphics not being on the level of modern games
I feel pretty fucking lucky that I kinda find old graphics appealing.
I've got like some swelling or some shit on my right index finger and it feels kinda numb but also painful
Noise. I just want to go to sleep because it's fucking 3:30 in the morning but the blaring bass on the TV speakers won't let me and nobody wants to quit fucking watching it. Every. Single. Night.
I stop taking offense once we get past around 2003, I personally have immersion issues for plenty of games prior to that year (including some big ones like Morrowind, Deus Ex, etc. (though there are plenty of exceptions like Half-Life)), but when people dismiss shit like RE4, Condemned, F.E.A.R., The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, HL2, and the plenty of other games from over a decade ago that still hold up pretty well is when I have a problem.
FEAR looks pretty bad tbh, it's definitely not aged gracefully. It looks good enough imo though. I've seen people dismiss RE4/HL2 because of their graphics as well, really annoyed me.
Fuck. Clan buddies are gonna be pissed at me. They spent all day making a huge base on our new pvp ark server. I went outside, dragon sees me, over 80% of the base plus my poor dead corpse is instantly gone even though it's upgraded because somehow this OP as fuck asshole does 12k damage per hit (and fire does like 50 quintillion hits) and glitches his fire through cliff walls. We were fully upgraded, and WE HAD TURRETS. USELESS TURREETTTSSSS. Somehow they were only set to kill players and not dinos so like 15 of them which were fully armed didn't even work. The only dinos that lived were all the ones we buffed the health up on. Most barely lived too. Only way I was able to save the rest is because I finally made it back there without being killed and somehow I jumped on an on fire argentavis and he had enough health to lead that fuck away. He's still alive too. IDK what level that fucker is but he has to be insanely high.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. This is gunna be tough to explain since I was the only one on the server and wing flapping got me curious so I walked outside. At least the safes, power, irrigation, and most of the foundation that was behind the honeycomb wall survived with half health. GOD FUCKING DAMMIT. Even heavily modded ark is still a tough as fuck and infuriating game.
Old games most of the time age pretty badly nix games that work artistically or aesthetically because they were created during a cycle of game tech where everything that they had at the time was well established and not really experimental at all. This means they could make a game with a working style, and a game that controls pretty fucking well
Example: UT99 aged extremely well despite it being basically the equal of a post-middle aged drunk
Most snes games also aged pretty well, because they were simple enough that they aesthetically work
then you look at FEAR or UT2004 and it looks a bit awful today because it was made in the wrong era. Same goes for GTA3. These games were experimenting with new shit and didn't really know where to go so they just threw things at the ceiling and hoped something worked.
And yet GTASA actually looks pretty alrightish because they had the tech down, even if its still aged pretty heavily, while GTA4 looks great but was born in an era where everyone wanted everything to be grey and dull so it kind of ruins the aesthetic for most.
Graphics and tech and all that shit have an obscenely weird and random cycle of terrible fads, unfinished experiments and all sorts of silly shit happening.
Thankfully however we're at the point where anyone smart enough to understand art and style can actually make a very fucking good looking game, indie or AAA.
Was busy scratching off those flaks from my head.
Until its start to bleed.
Ouch, fuck fuckity fuck goddamn fuck you dandruff
Had to fix a Macbook pro and a iPad for someone.
His Apple ID got locked and he forgot the security question answer and he also managed to delete his own gmail account so i cannot retrieve the email that is send to the non-existent account
Called Apple and they said they had to speak to the guy and make him answer some security questions before they can unlock the apple ID but the guy is absolutely clueless in technology that he doesn't know any of the answers.. Can't reset the iPad in any way because the Apple ID needs to be reactivated before you can use it.
I mean i respect that Apple has some tight rules considering privacy but fuck.. :v:

Assassin's Creed Syndicate's narrative, or rather it's lack thereof.
This game has the most bare bones plot in existence. Jacob and Evie Frye are Assassins. They want to stop the Templars in London. Evie wants to do this by securing a piece of Eden and being methodical and stealthy about it. Jacob wants to do this by building up his gang and killing the Templars.
That's literally it. I'm on Sequence 7, and there has been 0 character development on either of their parts - mainly because the plot moves forward at a breakneck speed. The first two sequences were ONE MISSION EACH. They throw a bunch of characters your way JUST to give the Assassin's allies, and these characters as well have no development and are pretty much useless. The only bit of character development that has happened for our good guys is that Evie is slowly falling in love with one of the associates, an Assassin named Henry Green. That's literally it.
Oh, and all the people you assassinate? You seem them for a few moments at MOST before you have to murder them. You don't actually see them doing anything TRULY bad. Sure, Twopenny kicked over a homeless man's bowl of coins and told him to get a job, and then decided to rob his own bank. But as a result the Economy of the UK was thrown out of whack by the Assassins. Like you see him in ONE cutscene before you murder him. ONE.
Part of the lack of character development is because it focuses on two Protagonists with wildly different goals, and the other is that it goes by at a breakneck pace. 8 sequences, with the first two being one missions each. The 3rd was 3 mission, and all the sequences after seem to be about 5-7 missions each. And these missions tend to be short. Which is a shame, because the actual Assassination missions are pretty cool, offer some different opportunities to kill a target ala hitman (but no where near as indepth/as many ways).
It's a shame too with the writing because there ARE shimmers of the writers knowing what they're fucking doing and giving people human characteristics and actions. In fact, the main antagonist is probably the best developed character and he's barely ever on screen. Case in point:

Here we have our main villain, dealing with the loss of his cousin [sp]whom he had proposed marriage to at one point in his life[/sp] in a remarkably human way - and you also get to see his emotions get the better of him. AND you see conflict BETWEEN the Templars showing that not everyone in the Templars does things the same way.
AND SPEAKING OF WHICH. This game has done a great job of making the Assassins out to be idiots, Jacob at least anyway. Everyone he has murdered so far has brought HAVOK onto London. When he murdered a doctor, and ended production of this "Soothing Syrup", disease started to take foot again because it was like the only affordable and actually working medication on the market. He murders not one, but TWO, heads of Omnibus companies, crippling London's transportation business. And then, where I am, he murders the fucking head of the Bank of England. What does this cause? Economic disaster! Inflation is rampant, the economy almost collapsed! So what does our evil villain Starrick do? RAISES HIS EMPLOYEE'S WAGES TO COUNTERACT THIS. WOW WHAT A BAD PERSON.
Wow what a terrible villain the Templars do seem like evil assholes, raising employee wages, keeping people healthy, getting people too and from, etc...
The Assassins now remind me of this scene from Life of Brian:

God, fuck this game's narrative. It had such potential.
After waking up at 8 am followed by 3 hours of walking back and forth between my house and work, I finally figure out that I have today off. All because I was given the wrong schedule three times in the same fucking day. I'm tired, hot, and I feel like I'm about to fucking die.
My mom and sister are at odds with eachother over some stupid trivial bullshit, and now everyone's all tense. I'm so fucking tired of family drama.

I haven't finished an assassins creed game since that one in Constantinople, and I haven't played anything later than black flag.
But isn't part of the idea that the templars aren't evil, they've just got a different ideology? Occasionally, assassins can fuck up and do evil in the name of their ideology, just like templars.
I haven't got any job appointments through the student union for like two weeks.
January was almost devoid of jobs and I've got like $65 at the end of the month.
Now the supermarket started calling me directly if I would like to work at etc etc, and of course I accept that. On Wednesday when they called me in, I was the only working student cashier in the entire supermarket alone with another cashier who works directly with the company. In fact, I was the only student worker in days, even tho other students want to work too, but somehow the supermarket ended up ordering less students from the student unions.
While two different manager considered me dependable for these last minute calls (as they are happy with how I work), I feel like it makes me a wee bit stressful and I don't know why.
Fucking hate sundays, bland slow boring day. Used to hate mondays the most. Not anymore.

I like Sundays the most because there is barely any traffic, if at all.
Best day for cruising.

I hate Saturdays and Sundays because I have to work at night.
I do not like working at night because all of the high school kids are working and the drunk people call.
I guess it's my fault for looking up music on youtube, but I can't goddamn stand when people upload a vinyl playback of a song, and their turntable speed is off, so the music is way sharp or flat.
I'll never buy a turntable without a built in strobe lamp for this reason.
I tried applying for a new part-time job everywhere, two weeks and no fucking responses. If you do not have interest or deny me, ATLEAST LET ME KNOW. How hard can it be?

I know the struggle. I've only had a handful of interviews out of this whole time I've been applying to like literally anything. 2 are supposed to get back to me but IDK if that will happen. Fuck. Plus the fiance has been really hounding me to find a job so if they don't get back to me I'm fucked.
