Just like it real life, it might have a big effect on how someone carries themself or you might never find out about that person unless you were told or discovered it yourself. I think if they made Tracer into some lesbian stereotype it would detract heavily from her character. Not to mention, I don't think it's really necessary in the context of the game itself to know that, but it's an interesting tidbit in the lore itself.

To add to this, It's nice to have a gay character in any sort of media, but it'd be just as interesting to have at least some sort of hint or build up previously.

The difference here though is that this is exactly that: relevant to the main plot. It's not in the game as throwaway bio information or anything, it's incredibly relevant information in a side-story comic. The whole point is [sp]Tracer, her partner Emily, and Winston coming together for dinner but Tracer is late because she couldn't find this totally sicknasty scarf for Emily.[/sp] It's like complaining about the The Last of Us DLC when [sp]you find out Ellie is a lesbian[/sp] despite the entire DLC being based on [sp]Ellie's backstory with what's-her-name and their coming together[/sp]

My mother gives me ridiculously short notice on everything she has planned. She had me go to some fancy dinner earlier tonight that she knew about weeks in advance, and didn't tell me about it until this morning. That wouldn't have been too awful if it weren't for the fact all my nice suits are at my uni halfway across the country and I didn't pack them when I flew back home a few days ago because [I]she never told me a fucking thing until the last possible moment[/I]. Speaking of the flight, she also didn't tell me she had bought me a plane ticket to fly home until the night before. Since I was originally planning to drive home and take some stuff back with me, I had to repack a ton of stuff and got no sleep that night. And then she has the nerve to blame her lack of communication on me and the rest of the family as well. Who the hell does that?
