At least you don't have Mobile enthusiast friends who thinks mobile gaming is better than anything else.

how the FUCK does this happen

I clicked one link on reddit.
How does this happen?
I spent more than four hours troubleshooting our home network after I noticed devices were getting IP addresses that it should NOT be getting at all. First suspect was that my router (Netgear R6400) was compromised so I flashed DD-WRT, tho one computer didn't connect afterwards. Went back to the stock firmware again and the problem was back.
Then started sniffing packets trying to figure out what in my network was handing out IP addresses, even that I managed to find the MAC address where it came from I couldn't tell what device it was as I didn't see it in the devices list on the router. Started unplugging and disconnecting everything from the WiFi and plugging everything in one by one, except for our "HDTV" receiver (for the Dutches, a Ziggo / UPC Horizon box). Everything worked fine again.
Then it hit me, and slowly looked back towards my dad and asked him "Did you plug in the HDTV receiver? Because that fucker is the culprit." This box in question doesn't just receive TV signals but it also serves as a router and modem too. For some reason once my dad plugged it in it fucked up and enabled the DHCP server, giving our devices public(!) IP addresses through a fucking private network.

Seriously though, fuck this receiver. Even after we stopped using it as a modem and router it's still giving us pain.
Eugh. I hate AIO solutions for networking. Unless you pay out the nose for a top quality device, then some part of it always ends up being complete shit and causing issues for the rest of the systen.
Accidentally stepped on my glasses, and completely fucked up the frames.
I can't see shit without them, and had to waste 2 hours trying to fix them.
I had such great holidays until this little fuck up happens and bring all that stress back in a single moment. I fucking want to kill myself right now.

Apparently a Tetra I have only has one eye.
I don't know if the Tiger Barbs did it or if it was already missing the eye.
i feel like things between my best friend and i are fubar and i just feel like crying
My headphones might be dying. The right speaker keeps cutting out if I don't hold the cord at a certain angle.
Fuck.
Replace the cable instead of buying a new pair - save yourself lodsamone.

I don't know if this apply to headphones.
For me,when my earphone start dying,i bend the cable at certain angle then hold it with rubber band
The first episode of the new season of Sherlock to which i waited years for was very mediocre compared to all the previous episodes..
Friend of mine got permanently banned for no reason in GTAO while doing a vehicle delivery.
I play with him every day, he hasn't cheated since the second ban which was exactly year ago, so fucking weird. Silver lining is that at least I got his car.

Dear lord, my mom just came into my room asking what a "sintomin" is and what the opposite of it is. She meant synonym and didn't know antonym was a word. Both my parents were debating that and neither could pronounce them correctly.

Contact R* support immediately, i know their support is utter fucking shit but my brother got wrongfully banned, the chat seriously went like "Well woops looks like a error in our system, we unbanned you"
Mozilla often gave "secure connection failed" error.
Until its descent into "unable to find network".
God,this driving me crazy
Mum's boyfriend had a coughing fit so bad he started throwing up and eventually bleeding, and he refuses to go to the hospital.
As much as he irks me, as much as he frustrates me, why the fuck is he not going to the hospital if he's coughing so much it's bleeding?
Games like The Evil Within are tiring. Drama is about ups and downs. This game is a continuous downward spiral and I'm just waiting for it to end.

Until you find out the wires are a piece of shit human hair strand that you have to surgically sand the insulation off of. Oh, and the soldering is 3000 times worse.
People who use words incorrectly or in the weirdest way. "Check out this uncanny kickflip!", "This water has that compelled taste to it!", "Everyone caught the virus, worst fad ever!"
Yes, I've heard people say all of those in real life.
I have two powersupplies in my PC. One isn't connected to anything because the 4 pin and 24 pin connectors are too short, but the other one isn't properly mounted correctly.
I'm also broke and my ISP won't give me a 5 day extension.
Late to my friend birthday because the stupid wifi.
Its keep giving error on my mother phone while booking a online driver.
Not to mention that my stomach always gave me a fucking trouble on important moment

Oh god, yeah - the wire that was in my old mic was particularly thin af and had that frustrating insulation on, too. Luckily I could just burn the insulation off with an old solder tip and still get a decent connection. I made myself a new mic pretty recently and made sure the all the wires were chunky, specifically so it's easier to fix in the future - even got 'normal' insulation around the cores \o/.
Speaking of audio though, I really dislike the standard 3.5mm jack. Connectors always seem to deform just enough after a lot of the in-out-in-out that they start making really poor connections.
i hate it whenever i play payday 2 and the host just decides to leave after 30+ minutes in a mission while things were going well
this is why i rely on friends and myself to host when playing
Tbh Overkill should have implemented a host transfer feature years ago. Is so dumb that you can just ruin everything for everyone by simply having the lights go out on your end or something else of the sort when you're hosting.
Had to enter 4 tests and bring my Math AND History projects to school today.
And I will be entering 4 more tests tomorrow and bringing my Geography and Turkish projects.
:ohno:

I made a mic extension cable with a reclaimed earbud cable, a pair of binder clips, and a Reese's mini tinfoil wrapper.
[editline]4th January 2017[/editline]
Turned a pair of protective worksite earmuffs into super effective sound isolating headphones with a junked pair of desk speakers, another reclaimed headphone cable, and some janky soldering.
Got an SMS that the job appointment is cancelled for today if I don't go to a rescheduled time. They said I would have to work earlier today or else it's cancelled, sry.
Welp, flexible worktime is nice and everything, but it sounds like they wanted me to work a few more hours without saying any specifics about it. The manager is always asking me if I would like to work two shifts a day, and had days when I was asked to stay one more hour. Mind you I work as a cashier, and while physically it's not bad, dealing with an endless stream of people without a break is stressful.
Unrelated: the zipper broke on my backpack which means I can't carry my laptop/schoolstuff inside. Mom's trying to fix it, but if she doesn't succeed then I have to buy a new one. Thank god I have some money saved, right? Last night I had to help parents out by paying for electricity which was turned off that night, and already had lend my mother some more money a week ago. While student loan isn't breathing down my neck, it certainly needs to be payed back, and I want to save some for driver license. I have less than $50 atm so I hope there won't be any more shit happening.
I got lucky at new years eve when a friend accidentally spilled beer over my thinkpad t420 laptop. It's still working like nothing happened, but the right speaker smells like old beer, gotta clean it sometime soon.
Prior to Android 6.0 I was able to change Power Saving settings. After 6.0, I'm stuck with whatever Google/Samsung decide is the best.
After watching the final of Westworld.. I i really really hope [sp]Anthony Hopkins returns[/sp] in season 2

Wait seriously? It just locks into auto-select?
