• Do you play video games

I play far too many video games probably, though way less than I used to in high school. These days I mostly I play RPGs and objective based multiplayer games like TF2 or Splatoon, mostly Splatoon
I play less and less as life goes on. Mainly it's been from work though also being depressed plays into it. I mostly play casual overwatch and path of exile. I may get into M&B Bannerlord whenever it comes out.
I play far less than I used to. And even when I have no obligations or responsibilities at the time I still feel really guilty for just relaxing and playing games for an hour or two.
I still play video games but I don't play them for as long per session that I used to.
Up until last night I wasn't playing anything at all for the past 3+ weeks. Between work, personal stuff, Ebay listings etc I've had no time. Plus I don't have the urge to binge play a title unless it's something I'm REALLY into. Gonna try to remedy this during the holidays though since there's like 10 games I've bought during sales that I either haven't had a chance to play or plain forgot I bought.
I hardly play games at all anymore. I maybe boot up a game every so often but then only play it for a couple of minutes until Im bored. I much rather make game dev stuff.
I try, but it has not been a priority for many years due to work, and then college. Over this summer break I played a good bit of games for the first time in years, and was really fun. Caught up on some series I'd been meaning to play for forever, it feels like.
For me, I tend to play singleplayer games every now and then when I have time (stuff like Deus Ex:MD, or Kerbal Space Program), or if I'm gaming with some friends (my college's got multiple "gaming"-themed study rooms for students that have stuff like consoles with multiple controllers + ethernet jacks off a gigabit network for PCs), local co-op capable games like Smash or Halo.
yeah but the lack of money means i can't really get a bunch of games playing tf2 all the time gets boring y'know the only unplayed game i have rn is amnesia but im a wuss and can't play it
I don't have a computer capable of playing games, and due to life circumstances, I'm not sure I will for a very long time. It's quite depressing for me -- PC gaming was one of the things left that gave me joy.
Not nearly as much as I used to
Still a lot, I'm not very busy.
Like many, I don't have much time for playing games anymore, but I set a small target of hours to play each week so I'm not too out of loop or having the interest dropping out completely (I also study games). Purposely branching into unfamiliar genres help a lot. I never had interest in JRPG and 4x but in just 2 months they are really growing on me.
For some reason, I can't justify procrastinating by playing video games... Even though most of my time is spent procrastinating by just browsing the internet, having a window open with my work makes it feel not as bad, I guess.
If I do play a videogame I almost have to force myself at this point, as a way to take a break from most of the other shit I do.
I bought Fallout 4 and TPP when they came out, but all I've done was play Dark Souls III and Battlefleet Gothic Armada and never touched them. College started this week so I'm having a hard time getting to them plus my SFM video project that's due in about one month from now.

Yeah, quite a lot still. At least, whenever I have the time.

Right now it's either some older Sierra games or some Capcom games if you happen to have a PS3. Also, Shadow Warrior Classic is free on GOG right now.
I play too many video games. I genuinely feel like I have a problem.
i have little patience for retro games that waste my time nowadays, so i have fully transformed into a dad gamer who only plays openttd, paradox strategy games, and tycoon simulators.
I will never stop playing video games; it's a part of who I am at this point
I try as much as possible. I have noticed that i've been more easily distracted by having the internet by my side either by laptop of by using the other monitor while using the main one for games, including console games. I also noticed that i just dig older stuff now and my spending habits have changed along with just what i play, I'm usually not in the mood for multiplayer games like i was when i was young but i blame just how different the environment is, especially on Xbox Live. When i do, certain multiplayer games anyway and im by myself, i tend to get pissy and impatient very easily. Being unemployed, it's far too easy to either just do nothing and somewhat difficult to play games all day, yet when i was employed, playing those games kept me relatively sane. Now, i say it's difficult for me to play something all day, from waking moment to eventual sleep. But i ended up just doing that with the Nioh demo for about 11 hours straight just a few days ago and the last time i did that was Phantom Pain. I'll try and keep playing stuff, there's always time you can find if you can pull yourself away from bitching about how you can't play games in the first place. Just a little pet peeve.
I know this isn't 100% a gaming forum but I feel like if you aren't playing video games at all, how did you hear about this forum then?
i think a large majority of facepunch has grown up and lost interest or has responsibilities now. i feel a thread like this 3 years ago would've just been shrugged off. i just don't have the motivation to replay games like i used to. i remember when mass effect 2 came out i did an entire playthrough for each class and never got bored. now when a game comes out, i'll do a single playthrough and then i'm done. if i try to do another one, i just get bored and drop it.
