15 minutes ago I did searching and found that problem is actually not permission but folders becoming read only for some reason: https://github.com/ShareX/ShareX/issues/884 So making folder not read only will fix it I think.
often its not possible making it not read only, since it will default back to read only. although i am talking about in my case. making a folder not read only is also something to try but i seen some new windows installs that cant remove the read only attribute for some reason.
I actually used the windows snipping tool to grab the screen shot and used its pen tool to hide the galleries on the right. Was too lazy to change my settings and use the sharex editor. :v:
Have two different hotkeys like this:
Yo, is there any way to make sharex capture fullscreen game screenshots? Sometimes it just picks a black screen (most recent example I can remember is titanfall, both active window and active monitor functions)
unless you have to use sharex for this, i would just use print screen
PrintSc doen't capture directx/opengl This old screenshot I have is something I took to argue the same discussion in the irc channel http://link-removed.xyz/i/2015/07/15-07-20_22-49-17-Untitled_-_Paint.jpg Screen on the left is using game capture to catch live from the game Whereas you can clearly see that printsc has captured an old image from when I toggled fullscreen
unless you have to use sharex for this, i would just use print screen
(as opposed to win XP where print screen worked for everything) print screen doesn't do shit in fullscreen games in windows 7, you get a black screen
The way we've always recommended to bypass this is to run a game in borderless window. I started to prefer this by default because this actually eradicated my screen tearing But it's not really for everyone hey. Some people run the steam overlay, or another program that can capture in-game, and use sharex to watch the folder that they output to, which will then perform it's actions and upload if needed
Not every game has that option, and yeah I just use fraps when sharex can't screenshot something but you know, i want it to be convenient

that's like, using even more tools
that's like, using even more tools
For some, it's a valuable tool if users want the benefit of a borderless game where it's not supported For me, having the game fullscreen and alt-tabbing out is a big benefit, along with the already mentioned v-sync

Thanks.
I also reported it as false positive to their support.
Been using this for a year now, it's really handy and convenient but having it on Steam? Would be a strange feeling to me at least.
Been using this for a year now, it's really handy and convenient but having it on Steam? One question though, will I still be able to have it run in the background on startup? I really like not having to start it every time I reboot.

So it gonna work exactly same as before. But currently I'm not sure when it not showing "In App" how Steam can handle auto updating. And how other softwares workaround this problem.

It might just download the update and then wait for the next time ShareX is turned off to apply the update, so most likely the next time the computer is rebooted.
