Despite being a BMW, it's a real piece of shit. None of the doors open from the inside. Windshield wipers are broken. Transmission slips. Headlights don't work half the time. The blinkers don't work. No radio. Broken cruise control. Etc, etc. The bird is undoubtedly worth more than the vehicle.

All that really made an impact to me in Mononoke is the boar that was covered in oil-tentacles of some sort, an arrow that rips off a man's arms while he stares in disbelief, and another that decapitates a man on horseback. Of course, the last time I saw that was when I was 10, and the Miyazaki movies I was used to seeing were Laputa and Kiki's Delivery Service.
