On occasion, when you start a new world, it'll snow. It's pretty cool. So far it's been a little hellish for me. I've gotten lost and can't find my shelter. Again.
If you built your shelter near your spawn, or you can navigate to it from your spawn, then dig into a cave and find some Redstone and Iron and make a compass, which points back to your spawn. They're useful.
Now I have to find redstone and break my neck for some iron ore. Awesome. Also, anyone else hyped up for Halloween?
I found my shelter, right next to that giant floating island I plan on hollowing out.
So you'll be immune to Fear, Sap and Incapacitate effects and you'll be generating extra rage all the while?
Pretty sure the extra rage is bloodrage, is it not?
Also this is the combination when you find the materials:

Well, technically Berserker Rage WILL generate extra rage, if you're taking damage. But Bloodrage generates it regardless.
I used an expired one-way pass to ride the bus.
Thanks Kryss. Where is redstone commonly found? Along with iron ore.
God dammit Facepunch, stop being down.
Had to bash the door for like 30 minutes since my mom had overused sleeping pills again and didn't have the common sense to take out the key.

Redstone is found deep in caves, often at lava-level or around lava pools. Every Redstone ore mined yields 4 Redstone Dust; you only need 1 for the compass. Redstone, however, can only be mined with an Iron or Diamond pickaxe, so look for Iron first. It appears as a copper-hued vein in stone walls often in caves anywhere from the surface to deep underground. You need to smelt the iron in a furnace to make it into an ingot and usable. So look for Iron first, because you can't get Redstone without it.
And now one of my best, closest friends is terribly mad with me. :smith:
So I went to Art Prize last night and I got a couple of pictures. Most of them didn't turn out because all I had was my phone and it's crappy camera.
Anyways~
This is some kickass bicycle. I want one.

A family friend of ours does wood carving and this is one of his entries. Kinda looks like Cthulhu in my opinion.

I've gotten a grasp on smelting. I usually find a few blocks of iron ore at any one time, and they're usually found far from my shelter. So getting them back in the dead of night is annoying when I get attacked by a mob of creepers or skeletons. I'm glad there aren't any flying enemies though. Also, I had to fill my shelter with torches because monsters spawn in it from time to time. Such is life in minecraft.
I feel like I just had sex, because I went 2 weeks without headphones, and I finally got my glorious surround sound headphones in the mail.

I made my base in a dungeon that I found open to the surface, and I quickly destroyed the Mob Spawner and fortified it against Creeper attacks. How about these for Mobs?
