Lots of people will say how good you are is measured by how many kills you get. I say it's measured by how often you die.
If you get like 10 kills and 5 deaths I think you did better than the guy who got 20 kills and 10 deaths.
What if you hide in a corner the whole match and get 0 deaths

Ragdoll physics are boring without euphoria
If the more recent Rockstar games didn't have euphoria ragdolls I would have stopped playing right after the story, there is just something so simple and amusing about the way people react and move around
Probably a popular opinion though, lifeless ragdolls are outdated trash

I think it's about a ratio. With your example both players are getting two kills every time they die
Duke Nukem: Forever was exactly what it should've been and people's bitching and whining about it is simply a result of missing the point of what Duke Nukem always has been.
Star Trek Online is one of the better MMOs out there.

You get kicked for doing nothing.
bioshock 1 was boring
bear grylls: the game was awesome
I think i'm the only one here who wants a Call of Duty parody in the form of an April Fools update for TF2.
I thought the original Bioshock's gameplay was boring, repetitive, and unsatisfying.
i thought bear grylls: the game was enjoyable, replayable, and satisfying.
doom 3 was a wonderful game
it had awesome atmosphere, aesthetics, lighting, and sound design in general; the interactive computers were amazing and there was a huge amount of detail in the game, and i don't think it is possible to make a better reimagining of what happened in the original dooms

uh, is that an uncommon opinion though?
If we're still arguing about fallout every other post, I just want to say that I don't like fallout period. The whole 60s retro future thing really does not do it for me.

It's the fucking 50's not the 60's

Same difference.
I find CoD quite entertaining.
But then you completely remove the point of the "indie genre". In other words, you want the bigger companies to experiment like what "indies" did. Video game companies from the days of lore also would have experimented out the wazoo to make their next buck on. Squaresoft is a big example with the bunch of RPGs they did trying out different systems (Chrono Trigger by positioning and lack of "battle screen", Final Fantasy with time rather than turns, and Romancing SaGa with leveling up in different fields and LP which get subtracted when out of HP.).
THat's why I had the "indie genre" in quotes-
I know Indie means independent.. But if you compare Indie games and mainstream games you can see a HUGE difference in style!
You can be sure that EA will never ever publish a 2D platformer game, unlike 90% of indie games.
You can compare Fez and Half Life 2:
Both masterpeices, yet Fez doesn't have a course, It doesn't have walls to block you from stopping and smelling the flowers.
Indie developers aren't afraid of leaving the norma- 3D, Action-packed game...
And in the minds of most of the main developers- 2D is the past, it means going back to something old and washed out..
Same difference.
It could quite easily be early 60's, it's hardly the most concrete theme to a game.

Actually, it's anywhere from the late 40's to the early 60's.
So there.

I don't believe these lies
I don't believe these lies
Well, seeing as fallout is a divergent universe where we never got past the 50's/60's, but the nukes didn't fall until 2077, our definitions of the 50's and 60's probably isn't even applicable. In reality, the style of fallout would be whatever was in during the 2070's in this divergent universe. :v:
Assassins Creed 2 is really boring.
It is now but at the time it was amazing because of the huge improvement from assassins creed to assassins creed 2
It's the 60s actually.....;)
The city was designed in the late 40's, existed in the 50's and the game takes place in the 60's, so now let's stop talking about it.
I couldn't bring myself to finish Max Payne 3, it just didn't draw me in like I hoped.
Battlefield games are only fun with a group of friends.
GTA4 was terrible, from the protagonist to the gameplay, I couldn't have fun with it and never beat it.
I can't stand Gears of War, or any other 3rd person cover based shooter.
I thought Fallout 3 was a great game, people just get too upset with "muh lore" and whine about it. Aside from a weak storyline, it was phenomenal and easily one of my most enjoyable video game experiences of all time.
