Borderlands Is shit
Assassins Creed Is shit
Fallout 3 is shit
Halo is shit
CoD Zombies is shit
Everything is shit
Black Ops II story was actually pretty decent and fun to play, what with the loudout customization and semi-dynamic story.
I prefer realism in games such as PR, Arma, RO, etc.. where everything is realistic especially with a lot of little things and it just makes the game feel really deep and rewarding, no instant scoping, no taking a bullet and waiting until your screen stops being red, just pure fun and tons of immersion especially when your under fire.
I hate it when games aren't like that especially in regards to taking bullets, I don't understand why some people on FP complain about games that you die in a shot or 2, I couldn't stand it in BC2 when I would put tons of bullets into a guy and he would just run away and wait until his health came back and then just run back to attack me.
I also hate progression systems in multiplayer games, instead of choosing a gun they like and use that and just play and enjoy the game it instead gets them to focus on unlocking stuff for guns and to level up, I've seen posts where people say the only reason they played BF2 for so long was because of the progression system and how long it took, if your only playing to get new levels and not because you actually enjoy the game and want to play more then whats the point? Seriously just give everyone a gun and whatever equipment to choose from if your going to have customization and that's it, now let the better player/team win and not the people who have the better scopes or perks to reload faster.
Like I don't get devs, focus more time on making your game more fun so people want to play it more instead of a system that tries to addict your players into playing more for unlocks.
Jesus I hate seeing those people in RO2 where they blow up their own teams bunkers and pillboxes with satchel charges so they get points, I just sit in the explosion and get team killed so there is a chance the guy get's session banned for team killing because now we lost useful defenses because "I need points!!!"
Red Orchestra 1 was perfect with this, sure you got points for killing people but you got one damn point, you got 5 points for resupplying machine gunners and got a lot more points for capturing objectives, so really unless you were a sniper or commander who was really good the only way you were on the top was due to actually trying to win the match. Sure you got tons of people following one MG spamming the resupply button but at least it helps out the team and it wasn't them blowing up their own defenses.
The ability to sprint ruins 90% of multiplayer games.
Ouya is actually a decent console and people shouldn't knock it until they try it. Yes the controllers have noticeable lag if you hold them in an awkward position but 99% there is no lag and you can connect a PS3 controller to it anyways with no problems. The games may seem shit and indeed they would be if you played by yourself, but if you got a few mates to come over and play it with you on the same screen it is the best shit ever.
i've tried to play the final fantasy games but i just find them so incredibly boring. i also tried kindom hearts 1 and felt insulted. the intro cutscene was SO bad, then they tried to play off the most obnoxious tutorial of all time as part of the story. i hear that kingdom hearts 2 is a lot better though, and i haven't tried that yet
I find Borderlands to be extremely boring.
MW2 is the best in the Call of Duty series and still holds up as one of the greatest fps of all time.
GTA 4 was, even though it had the best character in the series (Nico Bellic), the weakest GTA in my opinion and I had more fun playing San Andreas.
never really enjoyed the pokemon games
[editline]28th July 2013[/editline]
but when i was a kid i watched the show
Battlefield games after 2 are complete bullshit.
I don't like the "futuristic 60's style" of Fallout.

you can have that opinion and i'm okay with it only because it is an opinion
i wish more scary games would utilize a lack of music because yeah music can enhance the mood but nothing gives a feel of dread more than hearing something tumble over in the dark hallway infront of you and then silence
[editline]28th July 2013[/editline]
silence is fucking scary
Saints Row IV looks fun.
I did have an uncommon opinion of The Witcher 2, but on much consideration, I felt it probably belonged in the unpopular opinions thread :v:

That it was a 10/10 game with excellent combat and a brilliant story?
That it was a 10/10 game with excellent combat and a brilliant story?
i can't think of any opinion about that game other than that
AAaaanyway...
I don't particularly like multiplayer games where you have to level up and organize stats. Plenty of my friends love RPG games and I can often enjoy playing them alongside my friends, however I absolutely hate grinding, and I absolutely fucking hate when you have to place your stats in a specific way to achieve the most efficient build for your class and level. My nerdy as fuck selfish asshole friends have a goddamn annoying tendency to use the motherfucking same new character they used to level alongside mine, to play singleplayer or with other friends and gain a shitload of levels either while I'm at work or simply without telling me, and then always telling me that I need to try and catch up on my own. I fucking HATE playing multiplayer RPG games on my own, I fucking HATE doing boring ass quests and killing tons of the same goddamn enemies alone. I've told my friends countless goddamn times that I will not fucking play these types of games alone if they level away too much from me and I have to play the catchup game... but every single goddamn time I end up trying out a new multiplayer RPG game we start out having fun as hell, I'll end up fucking abandoned trying to force myself through the painfully boring and tedious mess that their careless and fucking insensitive attitude puts me in.

sounds like my experience in borderlands
[editline]28th July 2013[/editline]
except we were usually nice enough to make either a copy of the character or a separate save to level on our own
-Wario Land 2 is the best platformer ever made
-Console FPSes are complete shit and borderline unplayable
-The PS4 is totally uninteresting and unappealing to me

Same thing with Dungeon Siege, Dungeon Siege 2, Diablo II, Diablo III, Borderland, Borderlands 2, Terraria, Maplestory, and World of Warcraft.
It has come to the point that I simply fucking refuse to try any new RPG games with my friends, because they can never fucking respect that I don't enjoy playing these type of games by myself. If I want to play goddam singleplayer then I'll play a goddamn game that is designed to be fun to play singleplayer.
Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom is a masterpiece of a game, an example of a nearly-perfect platformer.
I grew up with that game. I'm glad I did, it's sort of a shining example among other licensed games. It's surprising how well-made it is, really.
Come to think of it, I grew up with The Simpsons: Hit & Run and that beat 'em up arcade game, too. Those were pretty decent, too.

that really sucks to hear, and i know exactly how you feel. i wish that those kinds of games could be designed to be fun in both sp and mp
Borderlands 2 is waaaay over hyped.
Pokemon is a watered down version of most RPG's, I honestly don't see the appeal aside from casualness.
Dishonored was boring.
Fable 3 was pretty enjoyable.
Dead or Alive is an amazing fighting game franchise, but it's 'sport' counterparts are fucking retarded.
Final Fantasy 7 DOES deserve the praise it got -- NOT the praise it KEEPS getting. Back when it came out, it WAS a big fucking deal; but people need to let that game die peacefully.
Final Fantasy 10 was a fucked up flipper-baby of a game.
Lost Odyssey is a fucking GEM. If this trailer doesn't get you hyped, then I dunno.

Last Remnant was a good game.
I think Street Fighter is a madly overrated fighting game.
Splinter Cell never appealed to me.
Red Orchestra is just.. not fun?
I think Nintendo is just going to keep rehashing the same bullshit until the end of time. Not saying they're bad or boring, but nothing 'new' has made an impact since the 90's. Not talking sequels or anything, but new IPs.
I prefer the new 'Metroid-Vania' type Castlevania games than the oldschool ones.
Suikoden and Suikoden 2 are probably the best RPG's on the PSX.
I think the wii is a brick of bullshit; only having a few solid gems, ie. Smash Bros and... fuck, I dunno.
My last singleplayer 'Ooooooh SHIIIIT!!!' moment was when Halo 2 first came out and me and a buddy were co-oping it. We went over this jump in a warthog while he was gunning in the back randomly. It felt to majestic, and I don't know why. Halo 2 has been my BEST multi-player and singleplayer experience for 'awe' moments.
League of Legends is fucking beast, stop bashing it. srs
Guitar Hero is waaaaay better than RockBand.
GH: Warriors of Rock has the best set-list of any musical game in history.
Left4Dead is fucking boring.
I find myself playing emulators instead of games I have the console and games for. Ie. playing Spyro on an emulator, even though I have a working PSX/PS2 and the game-disk in mint condition.
Blinx: the Time Sweeper was a sweet fucking game.
Tony Hawk's: Underground 2 is the best in series.
I love metal, but putting a metal song in a video game just... sounds weird. Looking at you Dragon's Dogma.
I find myself wanting more customization than set personality. Ie. I'd rather keep meeting NEW characters, than getting to KNOW them.
Devil May Cry 4 was better than 3.
I'm glad Call of Duty, Medal of Honor went to modern games, storming the beaches of Normandy got boring after the 6th time.
Day of Defeat: Source is fucking hype.
Yu-Gi-Oh! games are very entertaining on a handheld.
Persona's intros to their games are WAAAAY to fucking long and boring...
Final Fantasy 7 DOES deserve the praise it got -- NOT the praise it KEEPS getting. Back when it came out, it WAS a big fucking deal; but people need to let that game die peacefully.
Forgive me, but how is that? What about FF7 was superior to any of the earlier games other than 3D graphics? I'm aware this is just an opinion thread but I'm curious about the logic of this one.

What is Pikmin
The Binding of Isaac is only fun with the DLC.
Pokemon is a watered down version of most RPG's, I honestly don't see the appeal aside from casualness.
This might sound a bit biased, considering I'm way too into Pokémon, but in regards to being 'watered down', once you get into the competitive multiplayer aspect of it, it actually can get pretty complex. At least, if you don't want to get your ass kicked back and forth.
Playing through the regular game is pretty easy, though. You don't have to put a terrible amount of thought into it in order to finish it.
A LARGE LIST OF OPINIONS, MANY OF WHICH I AGREE WITH BUT SOME THAT I FIND ARE PARTIALLY WRONG
for real, tony hawk underground 2 was beast as hell and a huge high-five on halo 2
[editline]28th July 2013[/editline]
also blinx was the shit
The PS4 doesn't interest me
I like Pikmin 2 more than the first
Wario World was actually pretty fun
I like Twin Snakes more than MGS1
i am literally pissed off that there hasn't been a good, powerful-yet-easy to use map editor since timesplitters future perfect
