I find that co-operative is the only way I can enjoy multiplayer games these days.
No matter how good you are there will always be a team of players 5x better than you
Coop is far less annoying too, I don't remember getting as annoyed in coop as I did playing deathmatch multiplayer
Halo 2 was the least impressive of the Bungie games. It was buggy, dual wielding was shit, weapons that could be dual wielded were terrible when used on their own, they nerfed the pistol to the point of uselessness, the campaign was only half finished, and the matchmaking was atrocious.
It wasn't a bad game, it was just the worst Halo game. Except Halo 4, fuck Halo 4.
Reminds me how I want the "score" removed from Killing Floor. People are just competitive by nature it seems, they always try to have the most kills.
yeah it's really annoying. i find myself peeking at the scoreboard to ensure that i'm still at the top or close. sure it's a good feeling when you're high up but sometimes you want a more casual experience. especially in team games. it's annoying to get extremely competetive due to scores. i enjoy playing as a support role, but sadly they don't get much "points" often.

tl;dr some games shouldn't have a score system, especially team oriented games
HL2 isn't that good of a game, and is the only one that still gives me motion sickness if I play too long.
I liked AC3 and AC:AH.
Never finished vanilla STALKER. People who jump down your throat for playing modded the first time should fuck off. The story, setting, and roaming gameplay are top notch, but the vanilla gunplay and visuals are horrid. It's not some kind of rite of passage to your elite gasmask club, so don't turn people away from an amazing series just because they didn't have to go through what you had to.
I enjoy looking for eastern style mmos even though 99.9999999% of them are terrible.
People who bitch about modern fps mechanics are really annoying, especially when they go on about the "good old days" of fps shooters like every randomly placed enemy and medpack is some sort of masterstroke by the devs.
i know that wario ware is a popular franchise in japan but for god's sake nintendo, relase a new wario land already.
Most of the Battlefield series is pretty damn horrible
First person platforming is alright and it works fine.
the fact that halo 3's guns sounded like toys was one of the most appealing aspects of it
Bioshock Infinite is a monotonously boring game.
Degreaser+shotgun pyro is way to good

I'd say that Call of Pripyat has the worst vanilla gameplay. Clear Sky comes in a close second. Shadow of Chernobyl had rather fun vanilla gameplay.
The Half-Life universe has a really great story that I enjoy but I personally can't stand playing through the games for some reason
I just get extremely bored and quit
Half-Life and Half-Life 2 have aged horribly, regardless of Orange Box port
mass effect 3 is a great game
Garry's Mod is not entertaining in the slightest.

"HAHA WOW LOOK I CAN MAKE HEAVY FLOP AROUND LIKE A RAGDOLL HAHA LOOK HOW MUCH FUN THIS IS"

I could not agree more. Every time I enter that Stalker thread here on FP, I get "go play vanilla all the way through first" or "fuck you you have the wrong mods installed" and no matter what you do it's never hardcore enough.
I cannot stand multiplayer games at all.
RPGs and MOBAs are the worst in my opinion because there will always be a bunch of flabby beef monsters who play the game 24/7 and know all the ins and outs, meaning that they will clobber you even with a new character. RTS games are the same way and are never fun for me unless I am with friends.
The worst part about it though has to be the fact that most of those flabby beef creatures master the game specifically to beat the shit out of everyone else. That is what I hate about it. It is too competitive. I play video games the get away from the testosterone filled dickwaving competitions that dominate sports these days. I play because I want to have fun dammit, not because I want to actively beat others at something.
Similar to the "unpopular opinions" thread, but pertaining specifically to games.
Halo 3 had one of the best multiplayer experiences of any game ever released
Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom is a masterpiece of a game, an example of a nearly-perfect platformer.
The game where I've logged the most hours is Battle for Bikini Bottom.
Ah, the memories...
Anyway, I don't think Half-Life is THAT great...
I really didn't like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas that much.
Assassin's Creed could have been at least a decent series if they completely removed the entire "modern connection/ancestry" aspect.
Also, Warcraft is better than Starcraft.
all MOBAs are terrible, and will always be terrible.
Also Lost Odyssey was a poorly made game for a multitude of reasons. First, The story couldn't decide whether it wanted to be serious or goofy and there'd be thematic shifts in a matter of seconds for no reason. Weapons were all direct upgrades. All weapons did was straight damage, no effect on accuracy, critical hits, or cool stuff like elemental effects. Every weapon just felt like putting a point into stats so it was boring as fuck.
You had two party members who were bratty little children who were the shittiest kids I have ever seen. The hero literally slaughters a battalion of soldiers because they were trying to stop the kids from picking flowers and the game treats this as being right. These kids are Mary-Sue to the max and downright physically abuse the only likeable character (jansen, if you've played the game) and everyone treats it like it's A-ok.
A major part of the game is reading memories which are cookie-cutter tearjerk stories about the immortal protagonist's past set to generic sad music and they all end with "and the hero went away and never saw them again and they all died because he's immortal".
All in all I really hated it and for some reason it made me mad enough to rant about it to FP.
MOBAs are boring as shit and I cannot for the life of me understand how anybody plays them.
Assassin's Creed is boring as all hell and physically hurts me to play.
I never understood the hype behind Halo and have found it pretty boring.
Fallout New Vegas is leagues ahead of Fallout 3 and I cannot understand why people think otherwise.
Unreal Tournament 2004's map design was bad compared to Ut99's.
You shouldn't have to download mods to make a game fun, it should be entertaining straight out of the package (Skyrim, Minecraft, etc)
Games with sprint, aim down sights, and regenerating health > Games with mach 5 movement speed at all times paired with treasure hunts for keycards/ power weapons/ medkits.
MOBA=Shit
This thread in a nutshell
Final Fantasy is boring, grinding is boring unless you do have a really good world market.
There are no russians in Dota 2.

i think you should look up the definition of an opinion
Gmod is more buggy/glitchy now than its ever been.
