The day when one of my parents is gone, even just thinking about it makes my eyes wet and keeps me up at night.
Sometimes I try to go to sleep, and then I start thinking about death and parasites and other shit, and my mind decides at that moment I won't sleep until my eyes are red and eyelids grey. Even still, my brain decides to be a bigger dick and have me dream about drowning or bleeding out, etc. Is this weird? It's scary af.

Fuck yeah, when I was 11 I'd keep the living room light on, turn on my room light, turn off the living room light, and then turn off my bedroom light. I was an extremely smart and energy-efficient child.
One thing that scares me to my core are the disturbing charcoal drawings by Stephen Gammell. What he did with the [I]Scary Stories Trilogy[/I] still get me. There is one image in particular that continues to haunt me since middle school is that one ghost from Scary Stories 3. I won't say as its the 'Candyman' to me, but one look and I'll stay awake until morning for at least a week. That and the skeleton from "The Thing."
