That virus will take over your Win Registry. Thank fuck I got rid of it Oh and my school uses macs for almost all the computers, so no viruses!! :downs: Except in the main office, and deans office they use Win XP Dell computers
apparently not
... he wasn't a moderator when he rated that post
there's this fucking kid at my school that is addicted to team fortress 2 soooo much that he wears fucking stupid ass hats in class! I want to fucking punch him in the face.
... he wasn't a moderator when he rated that post
oh, mmkay
even so, it's still pretty stupid to get your fucking panties in a bunch just because someone said (WORD THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED) in an obvious joke, and whoever does needs to construct their emotions out of something that isn't glass I'm not going to stop myself from making a joke because some weak mother fucker can't take it oh and you know what's hilarious most everyone wasn't offended, I got 3, count em, 3 dumbs, and 27 funnies, because almost nobody gave a shit because they can take a joke. So the conclusion is that this isn't offensive by majority vote. Plus, the people who did rate dumb, well, do you think they cried themselves to sleep that night? Do you think their day was ruined? Do you think that they exploded with rage? No, they saw a post that they thought was dumb, rated it so, promptly stopped giving a shit, just like they would have done with any other stupid post, so why is this one bannable?
lol you can throw a fit all you like over some people not being offended by your post, it really doesn't matter. A racial slur not offending everyone shouldn't be surprising. The point is it's still got the potential to be very offensive and it's not allowed here. Don't do it.
i don't see the problem with accepting "nigger" isn't a term you should toss around
I don't see the problem with accepting it as a word that can be used jokingly
"lol ur fighting a nigger" is a dumb thing to post
yeah well THAT'S JUST LIKE YOUR OPINION, MAN
and if you don't realise you'll get banned for it then i dunno what to say
well I just figured exceptions would be made for people who obviously aren't actually racist and are just using the word to get a giggle and that everyone could understand and accept it as a joke BUT I GUESS NOT
there's this fucking kid at my school that is addicted to team fortress 2 soooo much that he wears fucking stupid ass hats in class!
so if i call sir ian mckellen "fucking faggot" and say "lol jk" it's okay? if i called will smith a "bloody nigger" it's cool if i just say i was joking?
there's a difference between making fun of a stereotype and just going 'FUCK BLACK PEOPPLES'
there's a difference between making fun of a stereotype and just going 'FUCK BLACK PEOPPLES'
Not really, that's like giving someone a fast food meal with silverware and a china plate and saying it tastes better.
Stop arguing about your ban, it's over now.
might as well there's pretty much no point in arguing with someone who just refuses to accept your point
I can see where other black people can get offended, that word used to be thrown around as an insult before we used it. I personally don't give a shit though. [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline] Anyway, I gotta go sit on a metal chair for the next two hours.
even so, it's still pretty stupid to get your fucking panties in a bunch just because someone said (WORD THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED) in an obvious joke, and whoever does needs to construct their emotions out of something that isn't glass I'm not going to stop myself from making a joke because some weak mother fucker can't take it oh and you know what's hilarious most everyone wasn't offended, I got 3, count em, 3 dumbs, and 27 funnies, because almost nobody gave a shit because they can take a joke. So the conclusion is that this isn't offensive by majority vote. It's still bannable. That retarded cat pic is bannable in lamo pics despite the fact every retard around rates it winner. Ratings do not matter in any way. Plus since when has FP ever not found stupid racist or sexist jokes like that funny?
might as well there's pretty much no point in arguing with someone who just refuses to accept your point
You're doing that though
I don't see the problem with accepting it as a word that can be used jokingly -Meanwhile most of the world doens't yeah well THAT'S JUST LIKE YOUR OPINION, MAN -Maybe if I quote a funny movie they will think I'm right well I just figured exceptions would be made for people who obviously aren't actually racist and are just using the word to get a giggle and that everyone could understand and accept it as a joke BUT I GUESS NOT -"Ow, why would you stab me!?"
might as well there's pretty much no point in arguing with someone who just refuses to accept your point
Yeah but your point is awful. Just because a couple people found you calling someone a nigger funny you think you should be allowed to throw it around as much as you want? Uh majority rule doesn't apply to racism. Given the things you posted in your refugee camp thread (like when you compared calling someone a nigger to insulting someones taste in music...) I guess you just don't get this, so lets make this easy: Don't post anything even SLIGHTLY racist or I'm going to permaban you. Should be straight-forward enough.
A bit harsh, don't you think? I understand a ban, but I don't know about that. Do what you think is right.
Repeated racism always gets you a permaban. He's made it clear to me he doesn't understand how racism works so why bother with warnings that will mean nothing?
A bit harsh, don't you think? I understand a ban, but I don't know about that.
I could be wrong but I think you only get two strikes for racism normally. A week the first time then it's a perma the second time. Unless the rules have changed or I'm mixing it up with something else at least.

Someone in LMAO pics said "Why can't people understand MLP isn't just for girls anymore" or something along the lines of that. He got rated dumb 31 times. Seriously? I think it's safe to say that IT IS NOT just for girls anymore. Although it wasn't meant for men to watch, Lauren Faust does congrat the men who decide to watch it. I understand I may be bombarded by ROFLBURGER for mentioning MLP, but come on. Lego was meant for little kids and grown men play w/ it, but most FP users dont rip on them. So why should it be okay to rip on someone for liking MLP? I watch the show, and think it's great entertainment-wise.
Italian culture just makes me so angry for some reason. I dont even know why.

And he got rated dumb multiple times because he was persistently trying to defend "bronies" in saying they were doing nothing wrong. Which brings us to your lego point. Do you see grown men walking around calling themselves "leggys" and shoving (unfunny, terrible, etc) memes about legos down everyone's throats? No, you don't. But you see "bronies" do this, and it gets more and more irritating as time goes on. It's even worse that when we tell them we dont care about their beloved fandom, they get anal pained and try to shove it down your throat, becoming a torrent of rage and yelling "YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT!!!111" until you either cave in and do or just block them and move on. It's frustrating to say the least.
I fucking hate arguments. All of them, no matter who they involve. I just wish they would agree to disagree and try to find a compromise. I'll come back in a little while, got questions to write for a project.
Most bronies shove MLP down everyones throat. And you cant really compare a toy to a television show, can you?
Your argument would be more convincing if you didn't mention you watch MLP. That makes it seem biased.
Lets change that "Why do people rip on people for watching cartoons? I like watching cartoons because I find them funny" - random person "Your argument would be more convincing if you didn't mention you watch cartoons. That makes it seem biased." - other person :I
Lets change that "Why do people rip on people for watching cartoons? IE: Arguing that video games do not make people violent and stating you play games is not biased. Arguing that GTA does not make people violent, then expressing a like in GTA DOES make it biased. see where I'm getting at here?

The quicker people can learn to accept being wrong when the evidence proves it, the better. It's not always easy, and sometimes extremely difficult, but people always come off better for it. Accept defeat graciously and you should be treated graciously, especially since it's such a rare quality.
Someone in LMAO pics said "Why can't people understand MLP isn't just for girls anymore" or something along the lines of that. He got rated dumb 31 times. So why should it be okay to rip on someone for liking MLP? I watch the show, and think it's great entertainment-wise.
People generally have a bad taste in their mouth from all of the publicity it receives and the negative vibes it sends out. This is a pretty stereotypical neutral argument, but really, I don't think you should be necessarily proud or flamboyant that you like a certain thing. There's a point where it's superfluous and invasive, especially with the "ponization" or whatever you'd like to call it of other popular media. It shouldn't be a surprise to you that people will be intolerant towards fans, especially since historically, the My Little Pony label was directly intended for a young female audience. However in reality it's a reboot created in an entirely different fashion. Here's the part where I list things I enjoy and that I don't join a cult-like community of people linked by the show for: the Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Batman: The Animated Series etc. Then we are presented with my own take of the show so that I can clarify that I actually have an educated opinion on the matter. I watched the first episode, and the fantasy storyline was rather generic to say the least. It certainly does have some more convoluted jokes which do evoke a laugh from me, but overall, I didn't really care for watching the next episode. Also, honestly, you should keep whatever could be inflammatory to yourself in the first place. Maybe it's rather juvenile to bandwagon on the pony hate, but you just have to learn to accept that and find that the consensus on the subject will only change if you go to a different forum/group of people. It's a waste of your own time and effort, and again, why would you expect a group of people to suddenly become tolerant? Why is there need for defense? It's as if I were to say that "Spongebob was a pretty good show, I can't believe some people thought it was only for little kids." and someone were to reply "I think people should stop watching Spongebob, fucking atrocious television show", I wouldn't go to any lengths to defend my view because it's so infinitesimally insignificant and that person's intolerance doesn't FUCKING AFFECT ME UNLESS HE COMES INTO MY HOUSE AND MURDERS ME FOR MY BELIEFS. You choose a battle you don't need to fight, like who the fuck cares. No one's rights are violated, and maybe your feelings are hurt but that's fucking life so deal with it. There is no significant value to be had and no pride or honor to be lost. It's not justifiable, there might as well be fucking nothing unless it deeply troubles you that someone, somewhere, disagrees with you about something, and it keeps you up at night, droning through your head, torturing you, driving you to the point of insanity... Seriously, no one is getting persecuted until it's a case-to-case brony harassment and "genocide". People make generalisations all the time, and as long as you know yourself well enough that you don't fit the stereotype that you feel unjustly categorized as something you believe that you aren't, then just ignore it. You're just digging yourself deeper defending something that doesn't matter at all.
So why should it be okay to rip on someone for liking MLP?
So why should it be okay to hold a belief such as liking Friendship is Magic? It's recursive intolerance, and it's a damned vicious cycle. You'll feel better about yourself after you stop caring. Unless you really enjoy arguing about it and you feel that it is constructive, then obviously I'm not stopping you.
shut the fuck up about ponies please.
I'd say something but my avatar would make it seem more biased than Fox News.
