It depends on the disease, if it was simply a cold. Once you've cured your sickness for the first time you should not be able to get it back from other people who had the same disease. Your body is immune after you've fully healed. But diseases like a cold tend to change in their structure, each cold is different. You might have something different then or your body is weakened. It is also never stated anywhere in the codex that a ship equipped with a TDC needs to be sleek.
