if they are all having streamed video or similar, then yes it will affect internet connection.
If it's just a still open page like facepunch then it shouldn't do anything because there is no data being sent and/or recieved.

Nobody has complained on my tabs, I have like 10-15 tabs open at a time, but we have a great internet connection, 100 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up, so even if they think it would slow it down they don't bother because they aren't affected.

I got over them a long time ago. I get a little creeped out when I read them, especially things like Pokemon creepypastas, but I don't find them overly scary. Too cliched really.

I hadn't gotten a lot of sleep that night. I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of sleep contributed to it.

The pasta didn't even freak me out until a few days after I read it.

I was the exact same way when I read that. I got no sleep that night and I was real sick in the morning. It wasn't pleasant.

AMD is a terrible company. Take my advice and don't ever deal with them.

Every new driver breaks EVERYTHING. When I try to download a fix I have to log in but their account system is totally broken. The forgot/change password just plain doesn't work because the temporary password can only be used once but you need it twice to change passwords. Oh and if you need to log out to try again, all their logout button does is refresh the page, still logged in.

If you don't want to deal with their website you can just try opening their Catalyst application and watch it crash constantly.
