Yo G, why you bringing it back up when it's clearly over?
bringing back what up? not sure I follow
actually no I'm 10 and a half, but yeah I do revenge rate and it's funny as hell because of the reactions I get from people when they get all pissy and angry and send me hateful PM's
And you're one of those people who revenge rates like ten posts iirc
Hey dude, I'm pretty sure this is an admission of trolling.
bringing back what up? not sure I follow
You best quit playin' foo
The part that constantly causes you issues here isn't the fact that you wouldn't be comfortable dating a post-op transgender person. It's the fact that you think they should inform everyone of that fact and that if you knew the fact then you wouldn't even think of dating them because that apparently makes you gay. That is abysmal logic and quite insensitive of the subject and really negates pretty much the rest of what you say about supporting transgenderism since it basically boils down to "Cool, you can be that way but just don't do it around me."
The main problem I have with broadcasting it to everyone is that lots of transgender people get hurt or even killed if people find out.

At the very least it certainly makes life more difficult for them which is a point I was trying to make to Elecbullet but I don't think I explained clearly enough.
Facepunchers and how they often lack respect and manners for others or those who are not like them.
It brings me down sometimes.
Hey dude, I'm pretty sure this is an admission of trolling.
hey dude, no it doesn't.
only way it would qualify as trolling is if I rated every single post of theirs dumb, which then again I'm pretty sure that isn't bannable either, so there eat that shit mr.vocaloid.
The main problem I have with broadcasting it to everyone is that lots of transgender people get hurt or even killed if people find out.
Well then, that is a perfectly valid point, and it can only make me rethink my idea about having to broadcast it, and while I am unwilling to commit myself either way I will say that it sucks that GID exists.

I wouldn't have a problem with admitting I'm TG if we had a more tolerant and understanding society. I'm scared of getting hurt or humiliated so I'm not open about it.

You seem to be insinuating contempt for one of the sides of this argument and I can't decide which...

Trolling is doing something for the single purpose of getting a rise out of somebody.
I didn't really care till you lied just now
Holy fuck, all of you guys are babies
Well then, that is a perfectly valid point, and it can only make me rethink my idea about having to broadcast it, and while I am unwilling to commit myself either way I will say that it sucks that GID exists.
I tried to come out twice to a few 'friends' of mine who then called me a 'tranny' and laughed at me. I did it individually but if I wasn't able to convince them I 'wasn't' then it would have spread all over the place and a ton of humiliation would ensue for me.
That shit hurts emotionally when they do that. Just letting you know.
You seem to be insinuating contempt for one of the sides of this argument and I can't decide which...
Nah, its for a completely unrelated thing. I didn't bother to read the argument above me.
Sorry if you thought so.
I will say that it sucks that GID exists.
This part I can agree with I think. It does suck the GID exists. It'd certainly make things far simpler as well.
jesus

It'd just be simpler if the body recognized the female/male brain forming and the chromosomes corrected to match it.

Sometimes I wonder if the presence of a gender identity in itself is the disorder.
I, a cissexual heterosexual male, don't feel any real identity other than I have a dick therefore I must be a male, and this is something I am pretty damn comfortable with. While I admittedly have no experience with alternative identities and such I just feel that perhaps a gender identity is not a natural thing, and it's only when one comes to exist that we have problems.
Am I being silly?

Sorry to add another thing but:
The question is first one of IF you need to tell a partner that you've transitioned (or are transitioning) from the opposite gender. People will often have strong viewpoints on either side of this. It's basically an issue of whether you want to 1) tell someone you're interested in now and risk having them run away without ever getting to know you, 2) tell them later and risk having them leave despite all the care and emotion you've invested in the relationship, or 3) never tell them and risk having them find out another way, making them feel often quite betrayed and angry. And honestly, none of the three are particularily appealing. In all cases, the reaction from a potential partner can often be a strong one -- it can even lead to violence.
Once you're out to someone, your origins in the other gender may become a recurring point of contention in the relationship -- it may be thrown in your face frequently, or your partner may start seeking out your male traits (physical, personality, etc.) and find fault with them, whereas he or she might have remained otherwise oblivious. If this doesn't happen, then at the very least there is still the risk that in your partner's eyes, you might cease to be "the cute girl who likes club music and visiting the art galleries" and become just "the transsexual" -- as if there are no other interesting facets about you beyond that point. This can especially be a problem in that we as transwomen are psychologically female (or at least mostly so), but the stigma of being "transsexual" can often make others think of you more as "male" or "ex-male," than "female." To others, the word "transsexual" may also often conjure the image of drag queens, pornographic "she-males" or misguided gay men, and connotations from those things that may not have the least bit of relevance in your life -- but these things might become the standards with which you become measured.
Got that from this http://www.albertatrans.org/mtf.shtml which actually helped me out a lot in finding out where to go and stuff.

Not entirely sure whether you are or not. To me a gender identity is just what gender you think [more like know] you are.
tbh I think people should be allowed to be what gender they want to without being ridiculed or thought of differently...
but I know that'll never happen
I don't mind TG people

Actually, unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, I think you're about right. The gender identities we commonly know for males and females only came about due to male and female roles in early civilization where the male hunted and the female gathered plants and took care of the home. And since society is extremely different from that now, those gender roles are no longer necessary.

Also on this part, I'm pretty much perfectly comfortable with who I am but in 90% of cases that couldn't be further from what you typically think of as masculine.

Oops, automerge. Took too long to reply to that part specifically.
This one goes out to all people fighting about being trans

well I am comfortable with my identity as male but I'm not particularly good at it: I'm a weak-ass fatass who doesn't play sports or fish or hunt or anything.
UGH I want to see Titanic 3D during spring break but we're going to the beach
and I hate how I must sound like a spoiled little brat for not wanting to go to the beach
but I
