I love just fucking around in that game when it works. I had to hack in the 295.73 Nvidia drivers in order to even launch it and the settings are fucked beyond recognition but it's playable and I can even record it in some cases. Which brings me to my main problem: Literally everything works fine BUT playing Youtube videos and the ones I render through Vegas. Playing vids recorded by FRAPS work just fine but if I try to do anything else other than that I get a BSOD. Origin is a poorly done version of Steam but so far it's given me no problems and has better download speeds than Steam [BF3 downloaded in less than 2 hours, Steam would probably take around 2.3 hours or something.] BF3 is a great game though, it runs like crap sometimes, especially on maps like Great Bazzar or however you spell it and the forest in Caspian Border. Operation Metro is just all-around terrible in terms of performance. I haven't really played it outside of nearly empty servers though because I have no people to squad up with. I have like 3 fans pointed at my computer and the system fan is on all the time. Strangely though it doesn't run any hotter than it did before, but I do notice a HUGE performance difference. BF3 would run at like 10 fps normally.

Yesterday, I went for lunch with some friends, both of whom were girls, and one of them was interested in history. We wound up discussing the Cuban Missile Crisis for a majority of lunch. I think I'm in love.

okay well I just got a hint of how much my mac sucks at BF3. can only kill people sometimes and it's like a fucking slideshow with more than 10 people in the game. so I'm going to see if I can borrow my mum's lappy with like 4 times as much vram as mine and is just generally more powerful.
