We used to play on doorsteps usually, although we had those plastic arenas that were way to expensive for bendy plastic.
But yes they span ridiculously fast and were sharp, I can't believe they sold them to children, they also split into 4-5 parts and you could mix-match them. Don't know where I got the metal inside ring though.
I really, really wish I could play Rayman for the PC again. I'd buy it but wouldn't the software be incompatible with a newer computer because the game is so old?

Very good game, I'm so glad I can use the disc on PC. My PS1 completely died and if it weren't for he PSX emulator, I wouldn't be able to play it (I am using a legally obtained disc and will take pictures in order to prove it).
