I use both. It's not that big of a deal, yes it's a pain in the arse having to launch games from a client but just get over it.
Why is there an option just to show the results? First of all, there is a button that says, "Show the results" second of all, who the fuck on Facepunch would seriously vote for Origin?
Steam doesn't advertise itself as the future of gaming or the savior of pc gaming (as far as I'm aware), it's just plain old good. The sales really get my attention and I feel like I've been exposed to some really great games because of the sales. Origin, on the other hand, feels like a forced meme. It's seeing Steam's success and trying to muscle in on the market and, well, you can see the results of that in the poll.
Steam but barely, I hardly like steam to begin with. I only say Steam because it's kinda handy unlike Origin which felt really forced to make me download to play BF3. I can still play BF3 with Steams' overlay so I don't really care either way
If Origin wasnt by EA, Id probably use it.
Steam, but get it during sales.
You know this is Facepunch, right? The forum that'll caress Valve's scrotum while stabbing EA's at the same time?
[QUOTE=pawelte1;36664357]I don't know why would anyone choose Steam, Origin has the best tech support ever and it deserves to be the winner.

EA is cruel, they only have Indian slaves at support.

Steam, it's the future.
Steam.
I don't mind Origin though, it has never done anything to make me hate it.
The only reason I use Origin is because of Battlefield 3. Everything else is on Steam.
Origin fails me whenever I want to actually get back to Battlefield 3. It crashes, it doesn't open, etc.

Its funny because, I had some problem with my BF3 right after installing and updating and bla bla bla, went through 2 different support assistants, and the only good thing I got from them was a 15% discount code.
I had to fix it myself later by repairing the game.
Yup, all I needed to do was repair. And they didn't even know how to do that right.
Steam because someone said Origins scans your computer and sends the info off to other people. That is true, right?
:tinfoil:
Steam, Never really used origin
Why would anyone use Steam? It's just a shitty origin ripoff. Besides, Origin is made by EA so it's amazing. Also, Origin saved PC gaming.
I suppose i like Steam more seeing that i've used that. Although, im not always happy with it, my first Steam account had the original half life's and ended up getting hacked years ago, and i wasnt too happy with that. Never used Origin and i doubt i'll be using it any time soon.
I don't have a problem with Origin, it's dividing my games across two clients is what I don't like. But I do consider Steam more well developed, I feel comfortable with the interface and I'm just used to it more.
I dunno if it's just me being paranoid, but I wouldn't buy anything online through origin, I'd only use it if I bought it from retail and I was forced to (Like I plan to do with Bf3). I just don't trust EA.
I prefer Steam.
I bought Crysis 2 off Origin, my computer didn't explode and my wallet certainly didn't miraculously disappear.
Origin isn't the devil, it has good prices for they're own games once in a blue moon. The problems with Origin lie within it's company, which is a major deterant in it's own.

Steam = Old Fauthful; everyone trusts, has A+ Customer service and business ideals
Origin = New kid on the block that no one trusts, constantly lies to you, and has terrible customer service
Origin is a Steam wanabe.
Also, Steam saved indiegames.
Without Steam, the creators of games like World Of Goo would still search for a publisher, to sell and publish the games.
If it has what I want cheaper than the competitors (the usual ones I look at are Ultimatum games, Gamefly, ozgameshop, cdwow.com.au and Steam) then yeah, I'll buy from Origin. Compared to Steam it's not that bad of a service.
Regardless though, I'd prefer my games to not be locked to online accounts just to be able to play the games, so I'll usually look at Steam and Origin last or even just not consider getting the game at all. Really hate how even if I buy physical copies of games such as Shogun 2 it will still require linking the key to Steam, but I'm going to end up buying the game anyways because I like the series.
I had something weird happen with origin, I got Dead Space 2 for free.
It just appeared in my game library one day.

Useless to me though, since I own the game on steam already.
I say steam just because it has never failed me but the one thing i like about origin is that you can play it offline. It would help during school if i had games other than bf3

Did you seriously just say Steam has A+ customer service
while i'm at it, do provide examples of origin constantly lying to you
