So...libertarian basically?
No, because I think there's an important place for big government, because I think if left to their own devices, the public would simply tear itself apart as it did for the approximately 6,000 years of history leading up to Federalized Nations. I am pro-Market Regulation and pro-Universal Healthcare.
I am neither, nor am I a centrist. EDIT: why a disagree?
So you're a third alternative guy, huh? Viva Franco.
Is fascist considered conservative?
I believe that society cannot be, "the 51 taking away the rights of the 49," or, "the young eating the old." I believe that it is okay for there to be a place for "traditionalists," in society, even if some people find their views or ways of life repugnant, same as there should be a place for, "progressives," on the same terms.
You, I like you.

Its far left but does not fit any poll option.
I believe in the free market, but there has to be regulations. Anti-trust laws, environmental regulations, etc. are all protections I believe to be essential. For these reasons, I can't align myself with the U.S. Republican party. In theory, I should be a better for for the Democrats, which are considered liberal; however, I don't support their policies in practice. I also disagree on certain social issues, which I won't delve into. With all this in consideration, I'd put myself pretty center in the middle of the political spectrum. tl;dr centrist
I would say I'm a radical. Sadly there is no political offer for this label in France. There used to be a majority radical party way back post ww2. Nowadays there's the "radical left party" which is not radical, not left wing and not a party. It's actually just Jean Michel Bayley being a big fat liberal shill.
What's a liberal anyway?
Im an eurocommunist which is not liberal centrist or conservative. Its far left but does not fit any poll option.
It fits the dumpster.
Terrible poll. The options boil down to "naive optimistic fool", "hates everyone except their immediate circle" and "takes elements of both and acts smugly superior about it". Nowhere near enough nuance. Add more options like "hates authority because their parents won't let them smoke weed", "hates government regulation because they won't let them put powdered glass in their products", "violently afraid of people they've never met", "thinks dinosaur bones were put there by the devil to test their faith" and "equates non-hetero sex with pedophilia".
I put down "liberal", though I'm more akin to a "liberal centrist", seeing both sides of the story and hunting down the balance in all things. Also, I support the idea of technocracy. I believe people should be allowed to make a profit, but shouldn't be allowed to screw people over in the pursuit of said profit. I believe that people should be allowed to believe in what they believe, but not be allowed to push practices that harm individuals, humanity and the world as a whole. I believe in the right to vote, but on the flipside I believe that human beings should prioritize what benefits everyone BEFORE what benefits themselves. And I also believe that Donald Trump needs to be impeached, and that the Tories can go fuck themselves.
As others have pointed out, they aren't mutually exclusive. Mutually exclusive would be progressive and conservative. Even then, labels are awful because you can be a progressive in some aspects, and a conservative in others. Of course, 'liberal' in America generally means left-leaning and progressive, but the actual term for 'liberal' is extremely broad; virtually all political parties in the world today are liberal in some aspects, eg respect for liberal democratic institutions, and rights for the individual as opposed to the group. The US Democrat and Republican parties are both liberal parties, as are the Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats in the UK. The few parties that aren't actually liberal would be things like hardcore socialist parties. [editline]4th April 2017[/editline] I would say that 90% of people in the general population would be supporters of 'liberalism', even if they don't exactly know what liberalism entails.
I'm a liberal that likes guns.
I'm a liberal that likes guns.
Why are people rating this dumb?
While i may be on the center horizontally, i'm somewhat of a liberal.
I think a lot of people's perceptions on what 'liberal' is are screwed up. A lot of the really 'vocal' liberals are more like conservatives with different ideas than genuine liberality. Like safe spaces. Very controlling and not liberal at all. Yet people think those with safe-space ideals are liberal.
I am a conservative communist. Where do I mark?
How does that even work?
How does that even work?
The gays get put in a gulag along with the kulaks
Why are people rating this dumb?
because guns = conservative liberals who like guns are filthy heretics
because guns = conservative liberals who like guns are filthy heretics
I always felt like Facepunch consists of a good chunk of them, or gaming sites in general.
being allowed guns is a liberal thing. Oh America, you strange land.
being allowed guns is a liberal thing. Oh America, you strange land.
America as a whole tends to fall pretty far to the right when compared to Europe, as I recall.
There is no 2D scale [editline]5th April 2017[/editline] Left and right are lies [editline]5th April 2017[/editline] Wake up sheple

I am a conservative communist. Where do I mark?
you stand with jeb
Neither. I lean left on some issues, right on others, apathetic about still more. I dont even try labelling myelf on the spectrum. I'm also fairly apathetic about politics in general.
How does that even work?
Well communism is basically a super advanced stateless moneyless version of socialism which in it's core is a society in which the means of production are owned by the workers and nothing more. I can see it being compatible with conservatism, I don't see anything stopping it.

Super progressive left
I'm a human bean.
I'm an hyper fascist not a very good poll one can be simultaneously socially liberal and economically illiberal - not a conservative, not a liberal and, being economically left, not really a centrist either. A 1 dimensional scale serves only to split people into "us" and "them".
I'm fairly liberal on most issues, but I think so many of the social platforms these days are fiscally irresponsible that I'd likely be considered conservative or centrist at best.
Pretty much this. Socially liberal, economically conservative.
