Goldies are one of those rare, wonderful breeds that are both at the same time. Until these past few years, I've always had a Goldie or two in my life. I've got to find some pictures. Also, goldies are cool because you've got such distinction between blonde and red ones. For example, this woofer is a very, VERY red one.

She wasn't entirely smart, but we figured she had guts made of steel
She ate things that would kill any other dog. [I]Like 12 chocolate cupcakes with the paper still on them.[/I] Dad got blamed for that one until they found paper in her poops.

She only died from natural old dog causes. None of the weird things she ate ever gave her any issues.

Despite being a combination of 2 active breeds, she is the laziest dog you will ever meet.
But is also very obedient. When I take her for walks (when she decides that she wants to go), I never take her on a lead and she never strays more than a few meters away, and always stays on the footpath.

I took this one yesterday. She has to be at least 12, we got her in 2002 when my dad's friend found her stuck inside the wheel well of his van, she was maybe a few months old. She has slowed down a little but is still going strong.

This is Kitty, our tuxedo cat. Shes super awesome and is a couple years old now, is really cute and loves to play.
