I seriously don't know why we fucking have to wave our dicks for war. Seriously. Can't we just be like yo dawg we'll help you if you help us out just be nice to your own GOD DAMN PEOPLE so they make your country more productive.
World War III is likely in the next 40 years, likely started over economic matters between East and West (US and China, I'm looking at you). The superiority complex and strive for top dog that China is enacting as well as their military expansion and economic push throughout the eastern world is directly opposed to the current alliances, holdings, and trade of the United States. The Chinese are actively producing weapons specifically designed to counter US-specific technology, not coincidentally the only technology that keeps the US militarily superior. They also are far more advanced in cyber and tech warfare. With ambitions to move to space, and a jumpstart of their nuclear program and upgrade tot heir military technologies, China is a force that will compete with America on multiple fronts. The US, on the other hand, is a slowly lessening world power. People are beginning to lean towards the 'world police' view of the US as opposed to the 'savior and protector'. This is causing a heavy decline in America's image and lessening their economic hold as new alternatives to US trade and influence emerge after 20 years of supremacy. The east is turning towards China and India, competing powers themselves, and away from the west- this can actively be seen in the politics and economics of Russia, US-backed Asian governments, and eastern Europe. The US is unwilling to lose their prestige and power, and it is this that drives American distaste for China, ruining a decade's worth of negotiation to come to a mutually beneficial relationship that prospered into a full complimentary unified economy and has now turned to a leaning one-sided juggernaut. The US is backed into a corner, and like any animal backed in one, it will get vicious when it's go time. So what will start it? An economic dispute, on the basis of property ownership of private corporations based in America and producing in China, likely, or perhaps some act of vile espionage between the two nations, or a push too far for political influence in, say, Australia or the Phillipines. What may start as a simple dispute could escalate into a life-or-death situation for either side's economy, and prompt military action. To China, a war-torn US is still a trading US- to the US, a China kneeling under its might again is a China worth speaking with. It might start over Korea- China's devotion to the north and alliance with Russia is a simple enough reason- protectionism turns into war. Maybe over oil? The last few drops located in Alaska and Russia? Who knows. The world is a global economy. Every nation is interlaced. This is a perfect reason not to go to war- mutually assured destruction. But this is not a valid reason when economics is the push for the war. Economic life or death and political supremacy will push nations to the brink in one way or another. War in the Middle East, war between India and Pakistan, war in Korea, most definitely world splitters that would immediately partisan the world. I don't believe it will be nuclear. For the most part, most possible scenarios place the need of the enemy nation to survive for success- nuclear weapons would ruin all of that. I'm sure that nuclear weapons, tactical, small yield, that is, would be used as conventional weapons but theater-wide nuclear war is highly unlikely. Anyhow, my two cents.
There should be options for unlikely and likely.
rape
rape is wrong! Start a nuclear war!
Fun fact, with the amount of nukes around in the world, there would not be enough to kill everyone. Incoming Disagree spam.. Although the possibility of another World War is unlikely, it will happen sooner or later.
There are enough nukes to nuke EVERY country 5 times.
Some day in our history world war III WILL happen. IT WILL. But that doesn't mean that WWIII will involve nuclear weaponry. In statictics, to make Earth impossible to live on you only need like 27 00 kiltton rockets/bombs. The bomb that USA dropped on Japan was around 46 kilotonns. And now there is nuclear ammunition that is 50 times (literally) stronger then that. If somebody uses nuclear weaponry, well fuck, then it will go Metro 2033 and Fallout. To survive gamma radiation and neitronn rays (both deadly) you only need to 40 cm of water, 20 cm of steel, 40 cm of ground. I am serious. The worst thing is the air blast wave. It is the most deadly factor of nuclear weaponry. Because For 100 kilotonn bombs Overpreasure 40 pascal hits the range of 2 kilometers or so Light blast with 50 Dj per sqaure cm hits the range of 1,5 kilometer or so Air blast hits the range of more then 10 kilometers. This is crazy. But air blast only moves horizontally. [b]Tl;dr To survive a nuke you need to be underground/underwater and it will be all right. The best way is to dig down and make an underground lake, then make a steel house on the bottom. Just 27 to make our atmosphere unbreathable and kill most of population with explosions and their effects. O-zone layer will get n holes when 16 or so nukes are dropped (if they are 100 kilotonn). Solar radiation will kill the ones that werent lucky enough to die before. Then sun burns everything out on our planet. Around 100 to literally DESTROY the Earth as a planet, turn it into space trash. Even Russian president has such amount of nukes in his cabinet. I am damn serious.
